The Long Kiss Goodnight?

Was that the one with Samuel L Jackson and Geena Davis? If so it was ok to me.

Master and Commander...such a good movie...

I never knew this movie was underated since it was nominated for the Oscars. I thought is was over exposed. icon_confused.gif

lol, yeah I found out it was after I posted this. I used to think it was underrated because I didn't hear anyone my age talking about it when it was playing. Maybe it's because mostly old people watched it.. the theater seemed to be 90% grey heads when I went to see it with my dad.

Ghost Dog

Coffee and Cigarettes - The skit with Bill Murray and Wu-Tang Clan is worth it! Also the skit with the White Stripes and the skit with Roberto Benini were awesome too.

Napoleon Dynamite - Brilliant!!! It's out in some theaters right now.

Unbreakable

Mystery Men

Waking Life

Dancer in the Dark - Bjork!

The Station Agent - we need to see more midgets in dramatic roles

Holy Mountain - directed by Alejandro Jodorowski-- I think he was high at the time

El Topo - another Jodorowski film

Buckaroo Bonzai -- C'mon, the hero is a rock star/ neuro-surgeon/ test pilot. All the aliens have Jamaican accents (and not in a Jar-Jar Binks kinda way) and Jeff Goldblum dresses up as a cowboy--- for no reason at all.

Battle Royal

Ichi the Killer

The Third Man - gotta throw in something classic

Happiness - a film about a pedophile. either you really love this film or you're really disturbed.

Welcome to the Dollhouse

Crumb

American Splendor

Ghost World

Storytelling

Naked Weapon - Awe yeah, Maggie Q

Little Otek - Directed by Jan Svankmier

The Fisher King

The Usual Suspects

Willow - a good film, filled with midgets.

some others that i think are underrated:

Open Your Eyes - Vanilla Sky is a remake of this orginally spanish film

Amores Perros - from the guy that brought you 21 Grams

Requiem for a Dream - very disturbing, but a must-see

Modulations - an expose/history of electronic dance music

Sid & Nancy - about former Sex Pistol, Sid Vicious and his wacky girlfriend

I'll see your "Requiem for a Dream" and throw in some "Pi"
(man, I've memorized the theme song to req-- it lives in me cuz i had to re-do the title sequence for a school project)

Other films--

Ghost in the Shell (underrated to the mainstream-- Matrix stole from them!)

Triplettes of Bellville - french animation

Beat Street - "Ramo!!!"

The Audition - I think I knew a girl like that

Bubba Hotep - Bruce Campbell as Elvis, Ozzie Davis (an african american actor) as JFK - together, they fight a mummy!

Blackula - just for the soundtrack

Evil Dead, Evil Dead 2, Army of Darkness

Iron Giant

Wonderful Days - didn't care much for the story, but that was pretty

Metropolis (anime) - explosions + ray charles = brilliant

Mother

Defending Your Life

History of the World Part 1 - mel brookes!

Monsoon Wedding

Shaolin Soccer

Chung King Express

Fallen Angels

Scratch - a documentary about turntablists-- Dj Qbert is the ultimate filipino

The Wedding Banquet

Chasing Amy

Robot Stories - really good, directed by an asian american

ah, i forgot about Pi. i saw One Point 0 earlier this year, which a lot of critics compared to Pi. other than featuring a paranoid main character, some weird camera angles, and taking place mainly in one room/apartment building, i don't see the resemeblence.

the usual suspects, this movie make you think adn youd kill yourself when you find out. great acting by spade.

Not really underrated but it is an AWESOME movie. That was the movie that started the theme of having twisted endings ..... awesome movie.

and you mean great acting by Spacey?

not undderated really? cuz i haven't heard of it till my dorm friends that lived seven floors down gave me a holla on one movie night and we watched it.

yeah, the twist is bucking. i didn't expected him to be the guy, like i did willis in the sixth sense, not until the end. had a feeling though.

and yeah kevin spacey, sorry.

chasing amy was great, the only silent bob movie i really like, i hate when affleck acts like in normal and skinny guy type of roles in movies. cept this one. i'd rather see him on super hero save the world type of action, than try to act normal. he sucks a bit in that part.

Dunno why i'm even saying this cause none of you will have heard of it!

It's a british film called "Paper House" about a little girl who dreams of this weird house with a little boy trapped in it.

I saw it on TV about 4 years ago and I can't find it anywhere!!
