Even Lao-Isan can not link with Laos by Politics

But Lao-Isan can link with Laos by Economy and Social

All Lao people around the world should co-operated for Lao Association

The trade between all Lao major cities with issan region has been going on for long time. My parents told me 50 years a go, issan came to Viengchan to sell their goods with out any passport. I think Lao government should do the same.

Passport free, so people can travel freely.

We have to understand the word "Issan" is relatively new. The word Issan was created by the Central Thai goverment to counter-act the Communist movement in Laos. A lot of ethnic Lao from the Issan region were joining the Communist movement and that really threatened Thailand. So they came up with the word "Issan" to distinguish ethnic Lao from the West with their fellow brethren on the East.

Unfortunately, the word "Issan" stuck ever since.
