Chinese, Japanese scholars agree on Japan's aggression Options

A group of twenty Chinese and Japanese scholars who recently completed a three-year joint history study have concluded that the Sino-Japanese War (1937-1945) was an action of aggression by Japan against China, chinanews.cn reported today.

The scholars, selected by both governments to conduct a joint study on related Sino-Japanese history, also agreed the Nanjing massacre was a large-scale massacre against humanity.

The joint research report will be made public next month, according to Chinanews.cn.

This post is not about bashing Japanese past mistake, but to show past mistake of imperialist adventure.

it was never really covered up to begin with. The spats are really over a few lines in a textbook that's used in like 1% of the classrooms. Hardly something to boil your blood over.

You do not understand the importance of this joint history study of Sino-Japanese War (1937-1945). The Japanese scholars acknowledge the aggression by Japan against China. They are not a bunch of scholars, they are selected to represent the Japanese and Chinese point of view of study of history. This is a big step forward for helping the victim of this war. This study show the sincerity of the Chinese and Japanese to work toward healing the scars from the past.

The ignorance and refusal of acknowledgement from many Japanese is enough to make any Chinese more than slightly irritated. So either Japanese textbooks sugarcoats the war crimes or Japanese citizens just tend to blot it out of their memory. Both cases, are no excuses.

China will not need to use political pressure or protest to make her voice heard again. This is a scholarly report which have the seal of both Japan and China approval. When the report will be release and it get a foothold in Japan, any publish revision of history of Nanjing massacre can be consider a crime in Japan. It is a big win for the victim of the war. The first step will be to use it in the court of Japan for any revision of history of Japanese aggression in China during the period of 1937-1945.

These people say they side with China, but how can they be with China when they do not contribute to the cause of the victims of Japanese aggression in this thread.
