Personally I think Pattaya Countdown was more beautiful because the countdown place was located on a harbor. It looks really elegant.

I've been to Brandenburger Tor countdwown. Very cool, but nothing beats Rome! It has such a cool cityscape and street scene!
Bangkok is nice, too. But street scene is pretty ugly. No sidewalks. It's far way to get on par with developed cities! |

Hallo New Year!
I just came back from southern Thailand last night. So much fun! Swimming in the sea everyday and my skin is dark like hell now. Maybe I have to borrow Nivea whitening cream from Savan next time before I go. We have a small countdown in Trang too. Not as big as in Bangkok or Pattaya but it's fun to meet several old friends after 30 years! Count down 2011 in Trang. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() I was in Prachuab Kiri Khan 2 nights and I have to say that it's a very lovely town. Not crowded like Hua Hin and Cha-Am. I stayed at Aow Noi, a small and simple resort in Prachuab. Only me and my family on the whole beach with 2-3 km long! If you don't like crowded of Hua Hin, Cha-Am, Phuket, Krabi or Pattya, I recommend Aow Noi in Prachuab Kiri Khan. The sea shore is steeper than on the Andaman sea, but it's fun to play all day long. Personally I think Pattaya Countdown was more beautiful because the countdown place was located on a harbor. It looks really elegant. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LiHVo-i3h6U...feature=related Yes, I think Pattaya's countdown is better than Bangkok. Especially if you stay on high floor of beach resorts like Pattaya Park, you will see firework right from your balcony. This post has been edited by sawan: Jan 6 2011, 02:39 AM |

Stupid whore town? How can you call this brothel of the world 'elegant'? Please visit Spain, France or Italy to experience elegant new year moments! Why do you call Pattaya whore town? How many places have you visited in Pattaya? Pattaya today is a place for family. Kids enjoy this city the most. There are a lot of activities for them to do. I don't think you have really visited this city to know it. |

Oh that sounds very nice. I went up north with my parents and it was SO crowded. Several years ago I had to park and walked several kilometers just to see sun set at Laem Promthep in Phuket. Last new year I had to drive around 20 hours from Chiang Mai back to Bangkok. So this year I planned very well to avoid all the traffic and I had no problem at all. |

How can you call this brothel of the world 'elegant'? Please visit Spain, France or Italy to experience elegant new year moments! because I was watching the countdown and the fire works was very beautiful. I didn't know for me to say that I need an approval from you who was not even there. |

Happy New Year Krub P'Sawan. I went to Hua Hin during this New Year holiday. Hua Hin was so crowded, but it's great for me to see tons of tourists who chose Thailand to be their Holiday destination. |

I was not in Thailand during the holidays so I didn't watch any of those countdown events. Congratulations to Central world though. |
