The True Belief

Allah, ta^ala, said in the Qur’an:

يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُواْ اتَّقُواْ اللّهَ حَقَّ تُقَاتِهِ وَلاَ تَمُوتُنَّ إِلاَّ وَأَنتُم مُّسْلِمُونَ - 102

Ya ayyuhal-ladhina amanut-taqullaha haqqa tuqatihi wa la tamutunna illa wa antum muslimun.

Ayah 102 of Suratu Al ^Imran means: {O believers, fear Allah properly (as you should) and do not die but as Muslims.}

The Religion of Islam:

Islam is the true Religion that the sound mind supports, and it is appropriate for every age and time. It is the Religion of all the prophets from the first of them, Adam, to the final one, Muhammad, may peace be upon them all. Allah sent the prophets to guide the people to what is good and beneficial, to guide them to piety, and to teach them to be steadfast on this Religion until the end of their lives.

Piety: Piety (Taqwa) occurs by doing all the obligations and avoiding all the sins. Whoever achieves this state becomes a pious person. The first among these obligations is knowing and believing in Allah, ta^ala, and His Prophet Muhammad, sallallahu ^alayhi wa sallam.

Professing the Two Shahadahs:

In regards to the blasphemer who wants to embrace Islam, the belief is not accepted without one uttering the Two Testifications (Shahadahs). In addition, the Muslim is obligated to recite the Two Testifications (Shahadahs) in every prayer for validity of that prayer. The Two Testifications are: I testify that no one is God except Allah and I testify that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah.

The meaning of the Two Shahadahs:

أشهد أن لا إله إلا الله

The meaning of Ash-hadu alla ilaha illallah is: I know, I believe, and I declare that no one is God except Allah, i.e., no one deserves to be worshipped except Allah.

أشهد أن محمد رسول الله

The meaning of Ash-hadu anna Muhammadar Rasulullah is: I know, I believe, and I declare that our Master Muhammad, the son of ^Abdullah, is the Messenger of Allah to both the humans and jinn, and that he is truthful in all of what he conveyed from Allah.

The purpose of the Two Testifications: To confirm that Allah is the One and only God, and that Muhammad is His Messenger, while rejecting that which contradicts this.

Allah, ta^ala, said in the Qur’an:

وَمَن لَّمْ يُؤْمِن بِاللَّهِ وَرَسُولِهِ فَإِنَّا أَعْتَدْنَا لِلْكَافِرِينَ سَعِيراً - سورة الفتح 13

Wa mal lam yu’mim billahi wa rasulihi fa’inna a^tadna lil-kafirina sa^ira.

Ayah 13 of Suratul-Fath means: {Those who do not believe in Allah and His Messenger are blasphemers, for whom Allah has prepared Hellfire.}

QUOTE (samsparky @ Apr 7 2009, 01:09 AM) *
You don't seem to realise the danger of 'leaving it be' when it comes to wahhabis do you?

What has the Wahhabist done that actually harm Muslim development in general? Sure, they're irritating for claiming bid'ah hasanah as bid'ah, but they are not deviant. They just claimed they are not from any madhabs (while they actually followed stripped down version of Maliki), well, most Muslims considered them as Sunnis.

I even had argued, debated with them from time to time, because the 'pure' Wahhabists' claimed there's no such thing as Shafie' salafs (aka moderate salafs), but they were proven wrong. The 'pure' Wahhabists actually funded by Saudis ... go figure ...

But we can't dispute the fact that Wahhabists contribute greatly to da'wa in Western world. Many new Muslim converts there do not have madhabs & they do not want to! Do you want to accuse majority of Western Muslim reverts as DEVIANT? I dare you!

QUOTE
Do you know why wahhabis and those who claim to be salafis (but are also really following wahhabi teachings) claim that tawheed is divided into 3? One reason is to teach their students that the thousands of millions of Muslims who ask God by the rank of the Prophet are blasphemers (non-Muslims).

We can pick and choose. Differences between Sunni Madhabs are more glaring. I can easily pointed that you're a Mongrel Muslim, for being a Secularist Western Christian bloc citizens in Australia. I can accused you as traitor to Muslim world & the entire Muslim Ummah for Western comfort ... what say you?

But we both know its not true, so why harped on the matter! I repeat here again, the key for Muslim Ummah, is focusing on similarities, not differences.

What is scary about that? you might ask.

QUOTE
The scary thing about it is that they will then use their students to wage war on every Muslim - male, female and child who does not follow them and many examples of this happened in history.

If you're talkin' about how Wahhabists conspired with British Imperialists to divide Arab world during Ottoman rule in early 20th century, you do have a point. But a little history lesson here, its Kemal Ataturk, former Ottoman military general, obviously a Sunni, who sold out & ended the Sunni Ottoman Caliphate.

Guess what, Saddam Hussein, an Arab Sunni (not Wahhabist) waged a war that pit Iraq vs Iran that killed more than a million Muslims on both sides. Sunni officers under Saddam committed attrocities by gassing fellow Sunni Kurds & massacre Shiite Arabs.

Both Sunnis & Shiites were to be blamed equally on disuniniting Muslims, not only the Wahhabists.

QUOTE
I pity you if one day they convince you to wear a suicide bombing suit and go to Chechnia to kill MUSLIMS because they declare them as blasphemers.

Guess again, who committed suicide bombings? Not only the Wahhabbists, but also both Sunnis & Shiites from various madhabs. In case of Palestine, more or less the same, including Arab Christians also being known to become suicide bombers.

Why must I wear a vest to commit suicide for the sake of jihad, when I know suicide in any form is HARAAM for whatever reasons & suiciders will suffer eternal damnation of hellfire?

By the way, its Chechnya, not Chechnia .... as an Ozzie, with English as your first language, you should know better, Sam.

QUOTE
Today my war against the wahhabis is a war of words. I will and already am educating many Muslims about what 'leaving it be' will result in when it comes to wahhabis - as it did result in many times in the past.

You know what, Shiites vs Sunnis conflicts begins with war of words that escalated to war, Sunni vs Sunni conflicts begins as war of words that escalated to war ... so its a moot point. You gonna do what, invaded Saudi Arabia with Western coalition troops behind you just like what they did to Afghanistan & Iraq. BTW, since you're an Ozzie, I may have the right to hold you guilty over Australian involvement in the invasion of those two Muslim nations. What say you?

You can't really say anything right?

QUOTE
True Muslims will never boycott Makkah but they will boycott believing in the misguidance contained in the colourful books that wahhabis distribute for free at Hajj time which contain statements declaring as blasphemers the Muslims who visit Prophet MuHammad's grave and ask ALLAAH by the rank of Prophet MuHammad.

True Muslims such as the time of 4 Khulaffak ur-Rashiddin will be more than happy to do battle with wayward Muslims who do not want to pay zakat (alms) & Muslim apostates & deviants, as documented in Ridda Wars. You claim to be 'true' Muslim, should be more than happy to amass an army to topple Saudi Govt. & the Saudis who you claim as deviants. Can you do that, really? Seriously?

If you ever do that, well, that puts you in terrorist category, in which the Ozzie authorities will be notified of your whereabouts & have right to detain you under anti-terrorism laws.

If you've a grudge against Wahhabist, you may do so. I myself have a score to settle with 'em, but that's for me to settle. But stop spread your hate in this thread. It would be better if you concentrating on da'wa on this thread, because this main thread is to unite Muslims, irregardless of Sunnis & Shiites, irregardless of race & nation, irregardless of political affliation.

There are many online forums out there that specialised in Wahhabi vs the rest of us, Sunni vs Shiite topics. Even in local Malaysian online forum (CARI), we even have specialised Islam & Muslim board, where it has subboard entitled 'Wahhabi/AhlussunnahWaljamaah/Shiah/Khawarij etc' where intense intellectual, theological, ideological debates & arguments between Wahhabists vs Shiites vs Sunnis take place. Surprisingly, they are UNITED in Interfaith board when facing off against bigoted Christians, atheists & non-Muslims in explaining Islam.

That's what this thread is all about, stressing similarities, not differences in the Ummah.

Wassalam.

Why it doesn't make sense for Muslims to unite with wahhabis:

A simple google search will show you that they massacred the Muslims in many countries because they claim that all the people who do a bid^ah are blasphemers!!!!!!

If you go deeper in search you will find that wahhabis helped to destroy the Ottoman empire & killed many Muslims in the process - why? because they claimed they were all blasphemers for praying in a mosque that has a grave in it!!!!!!!!!!!!! As stated by the previous president of the azhar university of Eqypt Ali Gom^a (which I have recorded in his voice).

You are being very innaccurate by saying that the only difference between a Sunni and a wahhabi is that wahhabis do not have math-habs. WAHHABIS BELIEVE THAT GOD IS A BODY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Hello!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
They are mujassimah aka they worship something they imagine aka DEVIANT.

If they contribute to spreading the basic message of Islam to non-Muslims that is something good - but if they are telling non-Muslims that Muslims believe God is a body and direction applies to him then I DARE TO SAY they are NOT leading non-Muslims to Islaam. Rather they are leading them to another form of misguidance.

And I think you would agree with me that the actions of bin laaden THE WAHHABI do harm Muslim development!!!

If you accuse me of being a traitor to the Muslim world just because I do not harm my non-Muslim neighbours then you are the one in the wrong because it is something renown that it is encouraged for Muslims to be kind to their non-Muslim neighbours & even to give charity to non-Muslims is allowed.

You want to concentrate on our similarities. What will you be doing by that except brushing the problem under the carpet!!! Wahhabis are already conspiring to blow themselves up in some shopping centre or other place where me our you might be!!!!!

When you bring up the topic of Saddam hussein, Saddam Hussein is one person. He didn't claim that his religion orders him to kill Muslims. He did what he did and now he is dead.
Wahhabis on the other hand believe that it is part of their religion to kill everyone except wahhabis. They are building institutions which teach this and they are passing their bad beliefs on. You can not tell me to do nothing about this!!! You can not tell me to shut up and let them continue because then YOU would be helping them to continue plotting to destroy the Muslims and to tarnish the image of Muslims in the western world.

Speaking up against such a destructive group is not a shame to Islam nor is it a division to Islam. Rather it is to protect our nation and the societies we live in. It is something that even your non-Muslim neighbour will look up to you for because you would be working against a group of extremists which teach destruction, deviance and destruction.

Proto, people can solve things by words way before it escalates into war many a time. If we do not talk about this problem then that is what will lead people to be ignorant about the dangers of wahhabism. I am not speaking up to encourage the invasion of Saudi Arabia, rather I am speaking up to stop the spread of wahhabism.

Let me tell you something Proto. If wahhabism once again leads to the massacre of Muslims, those Muslims who were silent about them will have a share in the blame.

If you want unity for the Muslims, unity will be upon knowledge. We do not want just a facade of unity where the problem is brushed under the carpet. We want real unity among Muslims - where the majority of Muslims stick together in making the true belief of Muslims known and preventing anyone from spoiling the reputation of Muslims.

And Allaah Knows Best

May you be in blessings every ^Eid.

Unfortunately I have no time for ^Eid presents because of counteracting the spread of wahhabism. Otherwise I would have loved to post a beautiful ^Eid pic.

Today my present is protection for yourself & your families from wahabism.

Know these points before wahhabis reach YOU

Dear friends,

An email is circulating in the name of dawah to shia when it is in fact an invitation to wahhabism.

Please make sure you know the following proofs before it reaches YOU.

Q: What does worship (^ibaadah) mean?

A: The ultimate submission & humility as described by al-HaafiDH as-Subkiyy.

Q: Can du^aa' be defined as worship?

A Yes, du^aa' has many meanings in Arabic among which are to worship & to supplicate.

Q: Can du^aa' be defined as anything other than worship?

A: Yes it can mean to call. Sooratun-Noor, Verse 63 means: <Do not make du^aa' (the calling) of the Prophet among you as your calling of one another.>

Q: What is the judgement concerning calling the Prophet or righteous Muslims even in their absence, or asking them for something which may be out of the ordinary?

A: This matter is permissible because to merely call or ask someone for something does not count as worshipping other than Allaah. Similarly, to merely say 'O Messenger of Allaah' is not associating partners with Allaah.

It is confirmed that Bilaal ibn al-Haarith approached the grave of the Prophet in the year of the Ramaadah (drought), during the caliphate of ^Umar and said: <<O Messenger of Allaah, ask of Allaah rain for your nation as they are in ruins>>, related by al-Bayhaqiyy & others. Neither ^Umar nor anyone else denounced his words. In fact they praised his act.

Sooratun-Nisaa' Verse 64 means: {If only, when they are unjust to themselves, they come to you and ask Allaah for forgiveness, & the Messenger asks forgiveness for them, they will find Allaah Forgiving & most Merciful}

An additional proof is in the Hadeeth related by al-Bukhaariyy in Al Adab al-Mufrad. It reveals that when ibn ^Umar's leg became paralyzed, in his call for help he said: "O MuHammad." His call was answered with a cure.

Q: clarify the meanings of the 2 types of calls for help known as istighaathah & isti^aanah.

A: Istighaathah is calling for help particularly when in hardship. Isti^aanah is more inclusive & broader in its definition of calling for help.
Sooratul-Baqarah, Verse 45 means: [Seek help (wasta^eenoo) through patience & prayer.]

The Messenger of Allaah Sallallaahu 3alayhi wa sallam said: <<The sun shall near the heads of people on Judgement Day & whilst in that state they will call upon Adam for help (istighaathoo bi Aadam).>> This Hadeeth clearly indicates that it is acceptable to ask for the help of other than Allaah, with the firm belief that Allaah is the Creator of benefit & harm.

Q: Discuss asking Allaah by the Prophet (tawassul).

A: Asking Allaah by the Prophet is deemed permissible by the consensus of the top scholars (mujtahids). Tawassul is seeking to gain benefit or alleviate harm, from Allaah, by mentioning a Prophet or a righteous Muslim, in honour of the mentioned, with the firm belief that Allaah is the Creator of benefit & harm.
Sooratul-Maa'idah, Verse 35 means: {Seek the means of obedience to Allaah.} In the Hadeeth related & authenticated by aT-Tabaraaniyy, the Prophet taught the blind man to ask Allaah by him (the Prophet). The blind man did so and Allaah returned his sight to him.

Q: Discuss asking Allaah by the righteous Muslims (tawassul).

A: Asking Allaah by the righteous Muslims is permissible. No one on the right path, from the salaf or khalaf objected to this. The salaf are those who lived in the first 300 centuries dating from the migration of the Prophet. The Khalaf are those who came after them.

It is narrated in the Hadeeth related by al-Bukhaariyy, that during his caliphate in the year of the drought, ^Umar asked Allaah for rain by al^Abbaas by saying:<O Allaah we ask You by the uncle of our Prophet.>

Q: What is the implication of the Hadeeth meaning: <<If you were to ask for something of someone then ask it of Allaah, & if you were to call upon someone for help, then call upon Allaah>>?

A: This Hadeeth does not suggest a prohibition to request something from the creations; nor a prohibition to ask for their help. It actually means that priority is given to asking of Allaah & seeking His help.

This Hadeeth resembles the meaning of the Hadeeth related by Ibn Hibbaan: <<Do not befriend other than a believer, and do not feed your food to other than a pious one.>>

This means that one's company is best given to a believer & one's food is best fed to the pious. It doesn't mean that it's unlawful to befriend or to feed a non-believer.

In fact, Allaah the Almighty has praised some Muslims in the Qur'aan. Sooratul-Insaan, Verse 8 means: [And out of their love for Allaah, they offer their food to the needy, orphaned, and the [non-Muslim] captive.]

In addition, Muslim & al-Bukhaariyy narrated that 3 Muslim individuals asked Allaah to save them from their hardship by virtue of their righteous deeds. Their supplication was fulfilled.

THE MIGRATION OF PROPHET MUHAMMAD

I Praise Allah the Lord of the worlds, to Him belong the Everlastingness and the befitting Attributes. May Allah raise the rank and increase the honor of our great Prophet Muhammad, sallallahu ^alayhi wa sallam, and protect his Muslim nation from that which he fears for it.
Thereafter, another lunar year has passed and a new one is about to begin to remind us of the glorious memory of the great day in which the Prophet migrated to al-Madinah.

The blessed Migration displayed an honorable strife for human excellence and contained several lessons of patience, forbearance, knowledge and wisdom; an enrichment for future generations to implement and use to iron out difficulties and overcome hardships and learn to persevere.Allah said in Surah al-Ahzab, Verse 39:
الَّذِينَ يُبَلِّغُونَ رِسَالاَتِ اللهِ وَيَخشَونَهُ وَلاَ يَخشَونَ أَحَدًا إِلاَّ الَلهَ
This means: “Those who convey the orders of Allah and fear Him, and do not fear anyone except Allah.”
Prophet Muhammad, sallallahu ^alayhi wa sallam, received the revelation in Makkah and therein he was ordered to teach and spread among a society drowning in ignorance the rules of Islam, the religion of all the Prophets, so that excellence, justice and peace prevail and winning the hereafter may be achieved. The people at that time used to worship idols, bury their newly born female daughters while alive and commit many acts of wickedness and debauchery; they were devoted to an immoral style of living that opposed the proper manners and ethics taught by the Prophets of Allah .
Allah the Exalted has sent His Prophet Muhammad, sallallahu ^alayhi wa sallam, with guidance to renew the call for Islam. During the prime trading season the Prophet used to pass among the people in Makkah and tell them: “Say La ilaha illallah (There is no God except Allah) and you will win.” He brought them the good news of the great reward for those who believed and warned those who did not believe a severe torture in the hereafter.
In the outset of his Call a few people believed in him but the majority renounced his Call and denied his prophethood. However, the Messenger of Allah , sallallahu ^alayhi wa sallam, persisted and eventually met in Makkah some people of Yathrib (Madinah) from the tribes of Al-'Aws and al-Khazraj; he invited them to embrace Islam so six of them accepted at first. When they left to go to Madinah, he sent with them Ibn Umm Maktum and Mus^ab Ibn ^Umayr to teach the Qur’an to the ones who believed and to call upon the ones who did not embrace Islam to do so; hence, their number increased by the following year.
The harm and harassment of the blasphemers against the Prophet increased after the death of his uncle Abu Talib, and his wife Khadijah may Allah raise her rank. He was harmed personally along with his oppressed followers. Bilal the son of Rabah al-Habashiyy was tortured under the scorching heat of the sun and on the burning sand of the desert; they used to put rocks on his chest during the hot noon time. Sumayyah, the mother of ^Ammar and her husband Yasir died as martyrs for not submitting to the wishes of the blasphemers of Quraysh and persisting to not revoke their state of belief; ^Ammar, the son of Yasir was tortured too.
The Prophet and his Companions who believed in him endured and tolerated the wrong doings of the blasphemers by remaining steadfast to the path of Islam and acting in accordance with what is incumbent upon them of its rules. The blasphemers of the tribe of Quraysh opposed their call and harassed them in many ways. One day a person named ^Uqbah dared to come to the Prophet, sallallahu ^alayhi wa sallam, held him by his shoulders and strangled him so strongly until Abu Bakr came and stopped him and said: “ Do you want to kill a man who says Allah is my Lord and who has provided proofs from Allah.”
The Prophet, sallallahu ^alayhi wa sallam, advised his companions to migrate to Al-Habashah (Abyssiniah) where a just king—Christian at the time-- presides and rules. Ten men and four women migrated at first and their number increased until it reached eighty three men and seventeen women other than the children. To protect themselves against harm and to find comfort and justice under the king of Al-Habashah they migrated out of fear of sedition and for preserving their religiosity to Allah . This was the the first Migration in Islam.
An-Najashiyy, The king of Abyssiniah, received and treated them well and they enjoyed peace and safety as guests in his land. The blasphemers of Quraysh attempted to sway an-Najashiyy by offering him precious gifts but to no avail; he turned their attempt down when he heard from the companions blessed recitation of Qur'an regarding Prophet ^Isa and his mother Lady Maryam. He believed the Muslims and maintained his support of them and became himself a highly pious Muslim.
When the number of the believers increased in Madinah, Allah revealed to the Prophet, sallallahu ^alayhi wa sallam, to migrate to it. The Muslims then started to migrate one after another in compliance to the order of Allah and in obedience to the order of the Prophet, sallallahu ^alayhi wa sallam.
The blasphemers of Quraysh were severely shocked by the speedy way the Religion of Islam was spreading and they wanted to find a way to eliminate it.
The blasphemers of the tribe of Quraysh noticed the continuous migration of the Companions to Madinah. So, they feared that the Prophet would do the same and leave Makkah. They held a meeting in Dar an-Nadwah and submitted to the opinion of ^Amr Ibn Hisham (Abu Jahl) and collectively conspired to kill Prophet Muhammad, sallallahu ^alayhi wa sallam. In order to avoid revenge from the family of the Prophet, sallallahu ^alayhi wa sallam, they decided to spread his blood among the tribes. So they schemed to have one man from every tribe strike the Prophet with their swords all at once, thus it would be hard to seek revenge from all the tribes. Angel Jibril peace be upon him descended and informed the Prophet about Quraysh’s scheme of killing him and ordered him not to sleep in his regular sleeping place.

Jibril also conveyed to him Allah’s permission to migrate. The Prophet ordered his cousin ^Aliyy Ibn Abi Talib to sleep in his place and to cover himself with the Prophet's green shawl and to return the belongings of the people which they had kept with the Prophet for safe keeping; ^Aliyy obeyed the order. By that time the blasphemers had already gathered at the Prophet’s door.
Fully relying upon Allah the Exalted, the Messenger of Allah left his house with his hands full of soil and he sprinkled the soil over the heads of the conspirators while reciting verses from Surah Yasin.
This means: We have made before them a barrier and a barrier behind them, so We have covered them over so that they cannot see.
Thus, Allah blocked His Prophet from their sight. In the morning they went into the Prophet’s house to kill him but instead they found ^Aliyy sleeping in his place. They erupted in rage and fury out of humiliation and embarrassment, especially when they found the soil on their heads. Angry, furious, and nervous they left the house seeking the trails of the Prophet.
Allah revealed the support of His Prophet in an astounding glorious event when Prophet Muhammad, sallallahu ^alayhi wa sallam, and Abu-Bakr may Allah raise his rank went to the cave of Thawr to get out of sight. Allah ordered a tree to grow at the mouth of the cave to cover it and two wild pigeons were ordered to sit in front of the cave one of which laid eggs. A spider was inspired to weave a web at the mouth of the cave. When the men of Quraysh came holding their staffs and swords, they stood by the cave and looked around and they saw the pigeons with their eggs and the spider web. They figured that if the Prophet and his companion had entered the cave they would have destroyed the eggs and the web, so they turned back and left defeated. What they did not know is that they were forty cubits away from the Prophet and his companion.
The cave was privileged by hosting the Prophet and his companion for Three days. ^Amir Ibn Fuhayrah, Abu Bakr's slave whom he had set free, used to graze his flock next to the cave so that they could milk the sheep and drink and ^Abdullah the son of Abu Bakr used to keep them abreast of the news and until the people lost hope in finding them and the situation calmed down. On the forth day ^Abdullah Ibn Al-'Urayqit provided two camels for them and they headed toward Madinah.
Quraysh assigned a great amount of money as a bounty to whoever captures Prophet Muhammad, sallallahu ^alayhi wa sallam, and his companion. Surraqah Ibn Ju^shum was blinded by greed and money, he followed the trails of the migrating Prophet and his companion until he was as close as a spear's measure of distance from them. Abu Bakr was scared for the life of the Prophet, but the Prophet comforted him and said calmly: “Allah is with us" that is He supports and protects. The legs of Surraqah’s horse sank deep in the sand until its stomach touched the ground while he was still mounting it. He got terrified and realized at that moment that a miracle was taking place to protect a great prophet. He asked the Prophet to make a supplication to Allah asking Him to have the legs of his horse back on the surface of the ground, he promised the Prophet that he would leave and will not reveal to the men of Quraysh their trails. The Prophet did so and Surraqah left while in shock and honored his promise; he embraced Islam eight years after that great event.
The Messenger of Allah , sallallahu ^alayhi wa sallam, migrated to Madinah with Abu Bakr after staying in Makkah for thirteen years calling people to embrace Islam and to believe in one God. The Migration of our beloved and great Prophet Muhammad, sallallahu ^alayhi wa sallam, was neither for money nor for fame but rather in obedience to the orders of Allah and relying on Him. Neither the great number of the blasphemers nor the danger of the trip stopped them from migrating because all they wanted was to obey God. Thus, the plan of the blasphemers failed.
Allah said in the Glorious Qur’an in Surah at-Tawbah, Verse 40:
إلاَّ تَنصُرُوهُ فَقَد نَصَرَهُ اللهُ إِذ أَخرَجَهُ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا ثَانِيَ اثنَينِ إِذ هُمَا فِي الغَارِ
إِذ يَقُولُ لِصَاحِبِهِ لاَ تَحزَن إِنَّ اللهَ مَعَنَا
This means: “When you did not support him, Allah indeed supported him (Prophet Muhammad)when the blasphemers harassed him. He was the second of two (the Prophet and Abu Bakr) while they were in the cave he said to his Companion: ‘Do not be sad Allah is protecting us.’ ”
The Prophet arrived at Madinah to start a new era rich of Islamic Knowledge and good manners. He was capable by his guidance, instructions, and directives to unite the believers as if they all had the heart of a single man; particularly during the hard times. Moreover, he guided them to perform the obligations and to refrain from the prohibitions. He also taught them to love for their brothers what they love for themselves, advised them to have mercy among each other, and to help each other in their hardship. In his Hadith that was related by Ibn Hibban, the Messenger of Allah , sallallahu ^alayhi wa sallam, also warned them from extremism and exceeding the proper bounds of the Religion and that it destroyed their predecessors, he said:
"إياكُم والغُلو، فإنَ الغُلو أهلَكَ مَن كَانَ قَبلَكُم"
This means: “Do not dare to ever exceed the proper bounds of the Religion, for extremism is what destroyed the nations before you.”
From Madinah the rays of light beamed strongly led by the greatest Prophet, sallallahu ^alayhi wa sallam, to wipe out the darkness of ignorance and disbelief. This leadership pushed the Islamic Call forward with an amazing thrust to build the barricades of truth and justice and to destroy the forces of blasphemy, disbelief, and corruption. Allah the Exalted bestowed His endowments and blessings upon the Prophet and his Companions, He enabled them to conquer Makkah after a long struggle and a series of battles led by the great Prophet alongside his Companions, afterwards people embraced Islam in large multitudes.
Allah the Exalted said:
إذَا جَاءَ نَصرُ اللهِ والفَتحُ وَرَأيتَ النَّاسَ يَدخُلُونَ فِي دِينِ اللهِ أَفواَجًا
فسَبِّح بِحَمدِ رَبِّكَ وَاستَغفِرهُ إِنَّهُ كَانَ تَوَّابَا
The meaning of Surat an-Nasr: “When the support of Allah comes and you see people embrace Islam in multitudes, proceed to Glorify and praise your Lord and seek forgiveness. Verily, He is the One Who accepts the repentance and forgives.”
The fragrance of the Migration keeps on scenting, and its splendor keeps on spreading. The fair person with a sound mind cannot afford ignoring it or ignoring its traces and bright illumination.
The migration of a Prophet, his companion, and their guide from the best land, Makkah, to al-Madinah al-Munawwarah in compliance to the order of Allah turned over societies, changed standards and balances, states and habits ceased to exist, it also resulted in the change in the status of some people. It was a dawn which had broken on millions of humans in the east, the west, north, and south. It was the sun of a civilization which shone to propagate progress, development, knowledge, urbanization, and high manners to the different platforms of the universe.
The history of Islam is rich with wisdoms and examples. As we celebrate a new Hijriyy (Lunar) year which reminds us of the jihad of the last of the Prophets and the Master of all of the Messengers with his Companion Abu Bakr as-Siddiq, and it reminds us of how his Companions battled calamities and torture with patience and endurance, we need to intelligently read the history and heed the proper lessons from it so that we do not miss the chance of understanding the events of the present time and we do not miss the good management of a wishful future.
Among the lessons is that Islam, to which Prophet Muhammad renewed the call, is the religion of all the Prophets and Messengers who came before him. All of them in succession conveyed the religion which Allah accepts to their respective audiences until the religion was fully completed by revealing the Qur'an to the last of the Prophets Muhammad, sallallahu ^alayhi wa sallam. Allah said Surah al-Baqarah. 136:

This means: " Say you we believe in Allah, and the revelation given to us, and to Abraham, Isma^il, Isaac, Jacob, and the Tribes of Al-Asbat, and that given to Moses and Jesus, and that given to (all) prophets from their Lord: We make no difference between one and another of them: And we submit to Allah in Islam."
Also Among the lessons of the blessed Migration is to be steadfast to the only Religion which Allah accepts from his slaves, Islam, and to sacrifice for the sake of Allah . Also to be detached from the worldly interests in order to get the great rewards on the Day of Judgment. This was the lesson that the Prophet taught his Companions and the entire nation.
When his uncle came to him with the offer of Quraysh who said:
“ If you want money we will give you until you become the richest among us, and if you want position and fame we will make you our dignitary, so that we will not do anything without consulting you, and if you are seeking to be a king we will make you our king.”, to that the Prophet responded to his uncle:
"والله يا عم لو وضعوا الشمس بيميني والقمر بيساري على أن أترك هذا الأمر

ما تركته حتى يظهره الله أو أهلِكَ دونه"
This means: “O uncle I swear by Allah that if they were to put the sun in my right hand and the moon in my left hand in order to have me leave this call I will not stop preaching and spreading Islam until Allah reveals it or I die for it.”
So he taught us a great lesson of how the person who is calling for the truth remains steadfast to the True belief, and to teaching people the good, no matter how much seductive offers he gets. This was clearly seen when the Companions of the Prophet migrated from Makkah to Yathrib leaving behind them their families, monies, homes, and lands for one thing only, which is seeking the reward from Allah.
Besides the lesson of sacrifice for the sake of Allah, we see the lesson of bravery in supporting the truth and confronting falsehood, which normally vanishes no matter how great power and strength it has.
Allah said in Surah 'Al-^Imran, 173
This means: People said to them: "A great army is gathering against you so fear them ": But it (only) increased their Faith: They said: "For us Allah sufficeth, and He is the best disposer of affairs."
We take the example of al-Faruq ^Umar Ibn al-Khattab who migrated from Makkah with forty of the oppressed Companions, he went to the gathering club of the leaders of Quraysh and said to them:
"من أراد أن تثكله أمه أو ترمل زوجته أو تذهب روحه فليتبعني وراء هذا الوادي فإني مهاجر"
This means: “He who wants his mother to lose him, or his kids to be orphaned, or his wife be widowed, or to lose his soul, then let him follow me; for I am migrating.” Yet, none of them dared to follow him. So where do we find nowadays that superior bravery which is accompanied with great wisdom?
Another lesson is the good reliance on Allah and the confidence of the heart in Allah, and the firm belief that victory is provided by Allah only. When the blasphemers of Quraysh agreed collectively to kill our Master Muhammad, sallallahu ^alayhi wa sallam, he displayed the full bravery and relaince upon Allah and also ^Aliyy Ibn Abi Talib who slept in his place.
We also see in the events of the blessed Migration the great attachment and love of the Companions to this great leader. During the trip of the Migration Abu Bakr would walk once in front of the Prophet, once, behind him, once to his right, and once to his left. The Messenger of Allah then would ask him about the reason for that. Abu Bakr would say: “O Messenger of Allah, if I walk in front of you, I am worried that the enemy might come from behind you and if I were to walk to your right, I am worried that the enemy might come from your left side.”
So let us learn that obeying Allah brings goodness, all goodness, and that the one who is God-fearing, Allah will ease things for him and would provide him with sustenance from where he does not expect.
The unity of brotherhood between the people of al-Madinah (al-Ansar) and the Migrants of Makkah is a rich and important lesson for us. The migrants came to al-Madinah (al-Muhajirin) after they left back their monies, lands, and families with nothing with them but reliance upon Allah wanting to be obedient to their Lord. The Master of the creations, sallallahu ^alayhi wa sallam, united them with brotherhood, the people of Madinah shared their monirs and homes with the migrants. They did that because they loved each other for the sake of Allah.
Those who love each other for the sake of Allah will be on illuminated platforms and in the shade of the ^Arsh (the ceiling of Paradise) on the Day of Judgment, when there will be no shade but the shade of the ^Arsh.
Then we find that as the Messenger of Allah , sallallahu ^alayhi wa sallam, leaves the honorable Makkah, he looks at it and bids farewell to it with sweet soft words which carry deep meanings, and great guidance, he said:
"والله إني لأعلم أنك أحب أرض الله إلى الله
والله لولا أن أهلك أخرجوني ما خرجت"
This means: “By Allah, I know that you are the most beloved land to Allah, by Allah I would have not left you had your people not caused me to leave.”
We come to know from that emotional farewell how much was the Prophet attached to Makkah. It is the land where the first house on Earth which was dedicated to worship Allah, the honorable Ka^bah, was built by the father of the humans our Master Adam peace be upon him. The Messenger of Allah , sallallahu ^alayhi wa sallam, taught us how to attach our hearts to the blessed lands as Makkah, al-Madinah, and the blessed land of ash-Sham. He also taught us not to neglect our land rights. The Messenger of Allah , sallallahu ^alayhi wa sallam, did not leave Makkah for good, but rather he left it in obedience to the order of Allah. He returned to it eight years later.
The Messenger of Allah , sallallahu ^alayhi wa sallam, had built the glory of this nation on solid foundations when he united around the correct Creed the disunited Arab tribes which used to fight for silliest reasons. Whom among us hasn’t heard of the wars of: Dahis wal-Ghabra’, al-Busus, and the wars of al-Aws and al-Khazraj during the era of ignorance (Jahiliyyah). The Messenger of Allah , sallallahu ^alayhi wa sallam, unified these tribes to make of them one nation under one banner which is the banner of: “La ilaha illallah” and spreads one creed which is the creed of at-Tawhid. The creed of clearing Allah from resembling the creations, the creed of clearing Allah of having a partner or residing in a place; this state of belief and unity extended eventually to larger areas and big countries.
All of that took place when we were united as if we were one man with one heart clear of any greed or envy, helping one another and supporting one another. During that period of time, our nation prevailed over the world in civilization and in the different universal sciences.
So whom among us does not know about the gift that was sent from Harun ar-Rashid to Charlman, the King of Germany, which was the first clock to be made in history.
And whom among us hasn’t heard of al-Khawarizmiyy the one who put the rules of the science of calculus in mathematics, and the rules of the science of fractions in arithmetic in order to serve the science of inheritance.
So, are we going to forget Ibn al-Haitham, who excelled in optics, or Ibn an-Nafis, the doctor, who stated that blood definitely passes from the right ventricle to the left ventricle by way of lungs. As such, he had discovered the pulmonary circulation. It cannot be missed that the Muslim doctors were the first ones who used anesthesia in surgeries,
Is there anybody who does not recognize the Turkish Muslim architect Sinan, who built tens of mosques, hospitals, and corners where the Religious Knowledge used to be taught. He was the one who built the highest dome in history, the dome of Suleimiyyah in Istanbul and many other projects.
So know and be certain that the route to our victory and success is by obeying Allah, and our unity that Allah accepts from us is the path to our prosperity.
We must employ this occasion and be guided by the teachings of the Prophet, sallallahu ^alayhi wa sallam, and unite the Muslims. We must actively speak as one and act in good will. We need to gracefully return to Allah and His book and the Sunnah of His Messenger, sallallahu ^alayhi wa sallam, with obedience and stronger belief. Allah said in Surah Al-Ma'idah, 16:

This means: Indeed, there has come to you light and a clear Book from Allah; with it, Allah guides him who will seek His acceptance into the ways of peace and safety and brings them out of utter darkness into light by His will and guides them to the right path.

The Messenger of Allah, sallallahu ^alayhi wa sallam, guided us in his Farewell Speech when he graciously advised: " I have left among you two things that if you adhere to them you shall never be misguided, the Book of Allah and my Sunnah."
We ask Allah to enable us to heed the proper lessons from the Blessed Migration and to instill its rich meanings into our hearts and to answer our supplication and to make this occasion full of blessings, benediction, and charity and to guide us to march head straight in the footsteps of the Prophet, sallallahu ^alayhi wa sallam.

May Allaah grant you & your family piety. Hijrah Year 1431

CELEBRATING THE PROPHET'S BIRTH AN INNOVATION OF GUIDANCE

All praise is due to Allah The Exalted, and may Allah raise the rank of our beloved Prophet Muhammad peace be upon him, his kind relatives and companions, and protect his nation from that which he feared for them thereafter;

Among the great innovations of guidance is the annual celebration of the Prophet's birth (Mawlid un-Nabiyy). This event is commemorated by Muslims all over the world who join together for such rewardable deeds as reciting from the Qur'an, chanting Islamic praises, telling the story of the Prophet's birth, teaching Religious Knowledge, slaughtering animals to feed to the poor, and gathering to thank and praise Allah and ask Him to exalt the honor of Prophet Muhammad, sallallahu ^alayhi wa sallam.

The honorable, knowledgeable, and righteous ruler: al-Mudhaffar, the King of Irbil{1}, initiated this practice about 900 years ago, and he was praised by Muslim scholars of Islam--among them the Egyptian hafidhs: Ibn Hajar al-^Asqalaniyy and Jalal ud-Din as-Suyutiyy. The famous scholar of hadith, Abul-Khattab Ibn Dihyah, wrote a book for the king especially to be read during the mawlid celebration, and there are no great Muslim scholars who dispraised this innovated celebration.
The basis for commemorating honorable events repeatedly every year is evidenced in the Sunnah of the Prophet. As related by al-Bukhariyy, when the Prophet emigrated to al-Madinah he found the Jews fasting, so he asked them why they fasted on the 10th of Muharram{2}.
They told the Prophet they do so to commemorate the day Allah saved Prophet Moses (Musa) and the Tribes of Israel (Isra'il) from the tyranny of the Pharaoh.
It was revealed to the Prophet what the Jews said was true, so Prophet Muhammad told them: "We are more deserving of Moses (Musa) than you." He said this because Prophet Moses (Musa) was Muslim. Prophet Muhammad ordered the Muslims to fast the 9th and 10th of Muharram, and this Sunnah is still practiced today.

To celebrate the birth of the Prophet by doing rewardable deeds-- that can be done on any day of the
year--is considered an innovated practice because this was not done at the time of the Prophet.

Although this innovation was praised by the Muslim scholars of Islam, some people consider any innovation an innovation of misguidance. Those who consider any innovation an innovation of misguidance have been misled, because there are two sahih hadiths which support celebrating such an event. Imam Muslim related, through the route of Jarir Ibn ^Abdullah, the Prophet said what means:
<<The one who innovates a good innovation in Islam has its reward and a reward similar to those who follow him in it--until the Day of Judgment--without lessening their reward. The one who innovates an innovation of misguidance would be sinful for it and has sins similar to those who follow him in it--until the Day of Judgment--without lessening their sins.>>

There are two types of innovations mentioned in this hadith: the innovations of guidance and the innovations of misguidance.

What complies with the Qur'an, the Sunnah, the Ijma^ (scholarly consensus), and the sayings and practices of the Companions is an innovation of guidance, and what contradicts the Qur'an, the Sunnah, the Ijma^, and the sayings and actions of the Companions is an innovation of misguidance.
This definition of the two types of innovations was given by many knowledgeable and trustworthy scholars of Islam; among them Imam ash-Shafi^iyy, Imam an-Nawawiyy, al-Bayhaqiyy, and the Hafidh, Ibn Hajar al-^Asqalaniyy.

It is apparent Muslims have not gone astray in celebrating the birth of the Prophet, based upon the aforementioned hadith, because the deeds practiced during this event are considered rewardable by the standards of the Religion, and in line with the definition of innovations of guidance.
Unfortunately, there are some people who misinterpret a sahih hadith related by Abu Dawud:
[ Kullu bid^atin Dalaalah ]

Which means: <<Most innovations are innovations of misguidance.>>
Those who are misguided interpret the word (kul) as 'every' and thus claim this hadith means: "Every innovation is an innovation of misguidance.
Their claim is unfounded for two reasons. Linguistically, this hadith is similar to the hadith related by al-Bayhaqiyy:
[ Kullu ^Aynin Zaaniyah ]
which clearly does not mean: "Every eye gazes the look of the adulterer;" rather, "Most people are guilty of the forbidden look." The person blind since birth would surely not have the forbidden look, and it is known the Prophets would never commit such an abject sin. The word (kul) as used in both hadiths refers to 'most,' although it can mean "every" it does not mean this in all cases.

As a matter of fact, in the explanation of Sahih Muslim, an-Nawawiyy said: "The saying of the Prophet, sallallahu ^alayhi wa sallam, [ Kullu ^Aynin Zaaniyah ] is among the terms which are (^Am makhsus) i.e., a general statement giving a specific meaning; which is a known field in Islam, and the meaning of the hadith is "most innovations are innovations of misguidance." This field the is seen in the Qur'an in Ayah 25 of Surat al-Ahqaf [ Tudammiru Kulla Shay' ]: which means the wind Allah sent as punishment to the people of ^Ad demolished most of the things.

To accept the meaning: "Every innovation is an innovation of misguidance," as the meaning of the sahih hadith related by Abu Dawud would negate the sahih hadith related by Imam Muslim which specifies two types of innovations: the innovations of guidance and the innovations of misguidance. In the rules of the Religion it is not permissible to interpret two sahih hadiths in contradiction to one another, therefore we know the true meaning.

Although most innovations are innovations of misguidance, there are numerous examples of Religiously acceptable innovations. During the Caliphate of ^Umar Ibnul Khattab, ^Umar initiated the gathering of people in Ramadan to pray the Tarawih Prayer in congregation. When he saw the people performing this prayer in congregation he said:
[ Ni^matil Bid^atu Haathihi ]
which means: "What a good innovation that is!" The high status of ^Umar Ibnul Khattab is known, thus it is important to point out ^Umar used the explicit term [ Bid^ah ] "innovation" in his praise. If all innovations were misguided--as some claim--^Umar would not have innovated this practice, nor expressed this praise, yet both al-Bukhariyy and Muslim related this incident.

During the era of the followers of the Companions of the Prophet, another praise-worthy innovation took place. Initially, letters like the ba, ta, tha, and ya, did not have dots above or below them. This practice of distinguishing between the letters by using this notation began after the time of the Prophet.

Since the time of the Prophet, many innovations have been adopted. Remembering the birth of the Prophet by doing rewardable deeds is a praise-worthy innovation. It is an honorable event and special to Muslims throughout the world. We rejoice in being members of the greatest nation of Islam--the nation of Muhammad--who was the best Prophet and the best creation of Allah. Ayah 110 of Chapter Ali ^Imran means:
[ You are the best of nations brought forth to the people; bidding the lawful (ma^ruf) forbidding the unlawful (munkar), and believing in Allah.]
This verse means this nation is the best of nations by virtue of its Prophet," as explained by the scholars of Islam. Muslims are thankful to Allah for the blessings of Islam and for being among the followers of Muhammad.

Ayah 31 of Chapter Al ^Imran means:
[If you love Allah, then follow the Prophet, and Allah will love you.]
It is fitting to honor the Prophet. The Mawlid (the celebration of his birth) has a great benefit: it inspires the heart to have a more profound love for the Prophet.

For more details about this matter and other innovations, please see the article entitled:
Innovations of Guidance are Rewardable.

QUOTE
Why it doesn't make sense for Muslims to unite with wahhabis:

A simple google search will show you that they massacred the Muslims in many countries because they claim that all the people who do a bid^ah are blasphemers!!!!!!

I've heard the exact same words from a Muslim Sunni extremist, its just he replaced Wahhabi with Shiites.

Wahhabists didn't killed Sunnis in South East Asia, the largest congregation of Islamic Ummah.

A simple google search showed how Saddam with with Sunni Baathists launched a war against Iran Shiites that cost one million lives of fellow Muslims.

A simple google search showed how Sunnis bombed Shiites in public places, even mosques, with Shiites doing the same thing in Iraq & Pakistan that cost hundreds of thousand of lives.

QUOTE
If you go deeper in search you will find that wahhabis helped to destroy the Ottoman empire & killed many Muslims in the process - why? because they claimed they were all blasphemers for praying in a mosque that has a grave in it!!!!!!!!!!!!! As stated by the previous president of the azhar university of Eqypt Ali Gom^a (which I have recorded in his voice).

Wahhabists brokered treaties with Imperialist in order to gain Arabian Peninsula & breaking away from Ottoman Empire. Ottoman Empire undoing happened when secular Kemal Ataturk (A Sunni) sold out to Western Imperialist & deposed the Ottoman for good.

QUOTE
You are being very innaccurate by saying that the only difference between a Sunni and a wahhabi is that wahhabis do not have math-habs. WAHHABIS BELIEVE THAT GOD IS A BODY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Hello!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
They are mujassimah aka they worship something they imagine aka DEVIANT.

To say that Wahhabists are deviant, you're reaching close of being blasphemous & making a fitna to Muslim ummah. Every Muslim who had went for a hajj in decades eversince the Royal Saud family become custodian of Makkah al-Mukarramah practically prayed in jamaah following a Wahhabi imam! Following a Wahhabi imam atleast 5 times a day there smack dab at Masjidil Haraam. By your logic, every Muslims, irregardless of their creeds, who went for umra & hajj had followed a Wahhabi imam, are practically deviants!

By Allah, in one blanket statement, your statement can be considered fasiq!

Tell that to every Western Muslim converts so numerous in American continent & European region who choose to be Sunnis without a Madhab (aka Wahhabi moderates).

Tell them that they are deviants, who, within the law of Islam, must be eradicated totally. I don't think you have the guts.

QUOTE
And I think you would agree with me that the actions of bin laaden THE WAHHABI do harm Muslim development!!!

Osama ibn Laden is no longer a Wahhabi, which most Wahhabists would love to have his head on platter & served it to their USA lord while licking Uncle Sam's arse.

Osama is an extremist Wahhabi-wannabe who imbibed local Afghan culture with many of its own quirks & bidaah too (not necessarily bidaah hasanah).

QUOTE
You want to concentrate on our similarities. What will you be doing by that except brushing the problem under the carpet!!! Wahhabis are already conspiring to blow themselves up in some shopping centre or other place where me our you might be!!!!!

In South East Asia, Muslim terrorists (Jemaah Islamiyyah) who are captured or killed belong not to Wahhabi strain, but definitely of Sunni madhab of Shafie. Like we give a damn anyway. A terrorist is a terrorist, communist or fellow muslims, you terrorised us, we killed you there & there.

QUOTE
When you bring up the topic of Saddam hussein, Saddam Hussein is one person. He didn't claim that his religion orders him to kill Muslims. He did what he did and now he is dead.
Wahhabis on the other hand believe that it is part of their religion to kill everyone except wahhabis. They are building institutions which teach this and they are passing their bad beliefs on. You can not tell me to do nothing about this!!! You can not tell me to shut up and let them continue because then YOU would be helping them to continue plotting to destroy the Muslims and to tarnish the image of Muslims in the western world.

He claimed to be prophet Muhammad's descendant thru some bogus family tree. He claimed to be Sunni hero in subjugating the Iranian Shiites.

Saddam is supported by his regime dominated by Muslim Sunnis, a fact nobody disputed.

If you accuse me of being a traitor to the Muslim world just because I do not harm my non-Muslim neighbours then you are the one in the wrong because it is something renown that it is encouraged for Muslims to be kind to their non-Muslim neighbours & even to give charity to non-Muslims is allowed.

I can do so easily as you easily labeled all Wahhabists as deviants. But you lacked the very motivation to your crusade against Wahhabists, making general statement without realising that it could impact the entire ummah.

Don't be a jahil, sam.

QUOTE
Speaking up against such a destructive group is not a shame to Islam nor is it a division to Islam. Rather it is to protect our nation and the societies we live in. It is something that even your non-Muslim neighbour will look up to you for because you would be working against a group of extremists which teach destruction, deviance and destruction

Like what? Wahhabists destructive behaviour culminated from troubled past in Arabia. But what of other Sunnis & Shiites destructive behaviours that claimed thousands & even millions of fellow Muslim lives?

How about you chew on that!

QUOTE
Proto, people can solve things by words way before it escalates into war many a time. If we do not talk about this problem then that is what will lead people to be ignorant about the dangers of wahhabism. I am not speaking up to encourage the invasion of Saudi Arabia, rather I am speaking up to stop the spread of wahhabism.

I'm sorry, but to stop Wahhabism is actually by their front doorstep. Which means, full fledged war against the Saud royal family & their Wahhabist followers, basically 98% from total Saudi population. Which required the same method of total war employed by Khulaffak ur Rashiddin against deviant Muslims & apostates during the Ridda wars. Complete cleansing of Arabian peninsula.

Are you up for the task, or just mere words, sam?

Let me tell you something Proto. If wahhabism once again leads to the massacre of Muslims, those Muslims who were silent about them will have a share in the blame.

Muslims have long being silent in case of Sunnis vs Sunnis, Sunnis vs Shiites. Those Muslims already have a share in the greater blame in conflicts that claimed millions of innocent Muslim lives.

QUOTE
If you want unity for the Muslims, unity will be upon knowledge. We do not want just a facade of unity where the problem is brushed under the carpet. We want real unity among Muslims - where the majority of Muslims stick together in making the true belief of Muslims known and preventing anyone from spoiling the reputation of Muslims.

Unity for the ummah is by settling on the similarities & accepting differences. As long as Wahhabists consider Sunnis as deviant, Sunnis viewed Wahhabists as deviant, both Shiite & Sunnis viewed each other as deviants, no unity will be sight for a long, long time.

Sad day for Muslim ummah.

Well said, bro. Unity can only come from accepting differences in belief, i.e. religious pluralism. If the early Islamic Caliphate was able to implement religious pluralism with reasonable success, why is it such a problem today?

That's simple.
Cuz u had a caliphate then.... whereas now since the Ottoman abolished the Caliphate, u no longer have that figurehead to rule over the divisions.

Praise be to Allah, the Lord of the Worlds, Who ordered us to implement what the Messenger brought and to refrain from what he forbade.

Dear brothers and sisters in Islam,

Imam Ahmad in his ‘Musnad’, Imam Muslim in his ‘Sahih’, and many others related the narration through Abu Hurayrah that the Prophet peace be upon him said:

<< commence fasting the month of Ramadan when you see the crescent then end your fast when you see it; if it is not seen then fast thirty days>>.

Based on this Hadith and others and according to the Islamic rules, we at Darul-Fatwa Islamic High Council of Australia would like to announce to the Muslim community that Sunday 19th of August 2012 is the Day of ^Idul-Fitr may Allah grant us the blessings of this great occasion. Ameen.
