More quiet, AIP enables it to stay in water long long time. it features a new sonar system, a new surveillance system (periscope, radar etc.), Vertical launched anti-ship cruise missiles .

I'd like to see how powerful it is. Since the US has its warships around the area, how about sink some to test it out.
It only takes 1 torpedo to sink it. nothing fun. This post has been edited by asean.asia: Sep 11 2010, 04:52 PM |

Recent news, PLA is setting up the world famous DF-21D anti- carrier ballastic missile base in ShaoGuan, Guangdong, that missile will able to hit the carrier anywhere in South China Sea. That plus the powerful new diesels subs should keep USN in check. You won't see them, they are hidden. This variant of DF-21D is coming to Guangdong !! ![]() Meanwhile, China will use the old weapons to take care of Vietnam's Navy and should easily accomplished. Then it should be called anti-drone ballistic missile.
If VN were to test its ballistic missile on a dog, then can VN call it anti-lilzz ballistic missile. you dont need to throw a nuke bomb at someone to prove you have nuke weapons.
Testing results on drone target is sufficient. This post has been edited by asean.asia: Sep 11 2010, 05:54 PM |

Then it should be called anti-drone ballistic missile. If VN were to test its ballistic missile on a dog, then can VN call it anti-lilzz ballistic missile. you can name anything you want. USN knows the crucial ingredients of such missile like full Beidou satellite SAR imaging reconnesance, OTH long range radar, MRVed manuverable multiple warhead, Dual phase array radar and infrared sensor, .. You can't just BS and say you have this. People know what kind elements and ingredients you have, and then projected anti-carrier ballistic missile is not far fetched. US knows full well China has all the necessary elements. This post has been edited by lilzz: Sep 11 2010, 06:15 PM |

Vietnamese from different part of the world. We should not trash talking each others. Instead, we should focusing on the fact that Chicom is invading Viet Nam's territory and do something about it!

China is a threat to world security. More power it get, it will be more ruthless. US, India, Japan, South Korea, Vietnam have to act jointly otherwise have to face chinese aggressions.

Duh, do we need high-tech weapons against VC country? Remember, VC country is still pretty much a $hit-hole with no life. I don't know what these viet kieus have been smoking. US is not going to help them. Look at those "tall building" they post up and are so proud of. Hell, they are fu-king 30 years behind.
This is from another article: QUOTE "The DF-21C was introduced into active inventory in 2005 and is designed for land targets. Though the DF-21D ASBM is nearing the stage of low rate initial production, expected in 2011 or soon after, it is not likely to be deployed into active service until after lengthy testing of the prototype. Though the province is already home to a Second Artillery short-range ballistic missile (SRBM) base in Meizhou (96169 Unit), the new base could "have unique capabilities that could complicate the strategic calculus in Asia, and the South China Sea in particular. The article analyzes that the 1,700 km range DF-21C MRBM can hit most land targets in Vietnam as well as the northern Philippines, including Subic Bay, with little difficulty. The 1,500-2,000 km range DF-21D ASBM should be able to cover the Spratly Islands at 1,800 km. This would include roughly seventy percent of the South China Sea, if the maximum range of 2,000 km is confirmed. " China is preparing for USN. Recent news, PLA is setting up the world famous DF-21D anti- carrier ballastic missile base in ShaoGuan, Guangdong, that missile will able to hit the carrier anywhere in South China Sea. Nah, Chinese are not greedy, just want reclaim stuffs they claimed back in the old ages. At a time when the world should be ratcheting down its nuclear arsenals, China is going full steam ahead, and this will cause another nuclear arms race. While China has economic connections with nearly every country in the world, its military allies are few, perhaps North Korea, Burma, Sri Lanka, Iran, Pakistan ?, etc. If you compare this with the US allies of the free world, there is really no comparison in terms of strength. |

China is not going to rule the world, so no need to have allies all over. It just wants take care of business in its neighborhood and combination of inland surveillance/backup, naval fores, air forces backed by 2nd artillery unit is enough to offset US's naval forces alone. |

![]() The new sub looks very sleek, double hulled and adopted the virginia sub type of muffler encasing the propeller, makes it very very quiet. This post has been edited by lilzz: Sep 14 2010, 10:58 AM |
