How To Cool Your Laptop?

Computer Specs


-AMD Turion X2 Dual Core Mobile Processor RM-70

-3072MB 800MHz SDRAM

-200GB (5400RPM) HDD

-32 bits Window Vista

What do you guys use to cool down your laptop? Any conventional means like a aftermarket products or even makeshift products that can simply be found around the house? Any tips/techniques that i can use to cool down my laptop? I was thinking about overclocking my Laptop, but i don't know how. But dosen't overclocking your computer/laptop shorten it life? What's your adivce(s)?

I was thinking about placing something like this next to my laptop cooling vent in order to cooled it down. Good idea or not?

Nah, you don't need to overclock. I just use 1 or 2 of those frozen gel thingies under my laptop to allow some airflow around the fans.

Oh yeah, it works. The most important thing is to get the laptop off the desk to allow airflow around the fans. Just cool the gel packs after.

I guess turn it off when you're not using it. That's the best way to cool them.

just sit it on a block of ice, it will cool down sucking some mist...and...

You can buy a 'laptop cooler' for about $40. the cooler is one or more fans in a flat device, like a lap table, that is placed under your pc to help exhaust the heat from the laptop

I use the HeatShift by Thermapak, it’s a great solution for a hot laptop!
