My father and brother came back from Laos and they told me that the Hmong from Thailand are very cocky. They dislike the Hmong from Laos and America.

maybe because of these arrogant hmong who go there , because they're american or french or whatever ,they're own the world and they can disrespect anyone ,have sex with young girls,do bad to our people just because they are from a western country....

i don't think they're cocky... I think they dislike hmong americans cause we're cocky when we go there... and they probably dislike hmong laos cause they're dumb and lower class then hmong thai

This makes sense. My parents have been to Laos two times now and my dad is really annoyed with the Hmoob Nplog there, he says they're a bunch of beggers. Most of them aren't even that poor for Laos standard of living but they like to exaggerate how poor they are. Beyond close family relations, like my grandpa and uncles' families, my dad has just tried to ignore the strangers that ask for money.
As for the Hmoob Thaib, I think they talk weird, they have a stranger accent than us Hmoob-Mekas. They tend to be louder than Hmoob-Lao and they like to talk about really innapropriate stuff, just look at the recently arrived MTT's. From the Western world, I think Hmong French and Hmong Australian are the most humble and nice. By far Hmoob Americans are the most cocky and rude, I think it's definitely the American influence of "we think we're better than you." But in the end, we're all Hmong and we all get along with each other and still help out each other even if we do annoy the hell out of each other. |
