Greetings
It is most difficult to determine the difference amongst Chinese and Korean girls at times. There have been incidents, which I mistakenly assume a Chinese girl was Korean and, a Korean girl was Chinese. My friend who is Chinese says the physical difference amongst Japanese, Chinese & Korean girls is their eyes. I’ve had good results determining Japanese from Chinese in addition to Korean. However, the shapes of the eyes in Chinese versus Korean are most difficult to decipher. Are there any personality traits that are significant enough to determine a Chinese girl from a Korean girl when chatting? This post has been edited by QSC: Oct 31 2011, 10:26 AM |

Koreans have really slanty eyes and flat faces. Chinese have wider, smaller eyes and flat faces. They are also really tan.

Sometimes you can tell the difference but not all the time.
It is like Venn Diagram.....there is area of overlap and there is area of uniqueness....so it depends on each individual, case by case basis. |

There is a woman in a shop I've chatted with for quite sometime. I was caught off guard when she read a billboard written in Chinese and, said she was Korean. |

Koreans have a very distinct look.. I can tell (most of the times) just like I can see whether someone's Chinese, Japanese or not ^^ likewise for let's say British, Dutch and French people, although there are subtle and less subtle differences I can often tell.. (I don't wanna brag or sth but we don't look All the Same..) |

Have a really interesting experience at a Kohls store the other day.
I was on the Return / Customer Service line when I noticed there was a Chinese couple behind me. Before I knew it, another older Asian man stood on line also, but instead of standing behind the couple, he was standing to my right. The man behind me assume he was trying to cut in and angrily told the older man to stand in line behind him in English. The woman told the man in Cantonese that why didn't he spoke to the old man in Cantonese. He snapped: "How do I know he understands Cantonese?" Woman: "He looks Chinese." Man: "He could be Korean!" |

i can't tell northern chinese folks apart from koreans. they look damn-near identical.
but the japanese do have a bit of a unique look. i can usually tell them apart from other asians. germans are pretty easy to tell apart from other europeans. they look really sturdy with strong jaws and fleshy cheeks. they totally fit the look of an aggressive/war-like people. ![]()
