Augusta, Western Australia, followed very closely by Denmark, WA - Plantagenet Forest, Walpole and Bow River between the two, but Cape Leewin gets the knod because it borders the Indian and Southern oceans, and the whiting is beyond comparison. They also call it The Rainbow Coast. And for good reason: BRB ...ooo... ![]() Between Walpole and Denmark, August 2001. This post has been edited by SeanMoran: May 20 2008, 01:39 AM |

I've never been to Darwin, but the tropical beaches are better by far at midnight. WA is fresh but cold down here in the South in Winter. |

You guys should really visit the beaches of Scarborough in Perth, W.A., it sure beats anything found on the East Coast I'm sure. It's absolutely breathtaking and I miss it, the views of the Indian ocean at Sunset is unbelievable. Later on the day you may want to try out the fantastic seafoods at Fremantle harbour as well. Perth, my hometown.

Melbourne. Despite the weather.. I love it. Haha, actually, I even like the weather most of the time. I find Sydney a little too hot for my liking.

Perth, mate; you can go prawning (catch shrimps) in the Swan River when they're in season, and go crabbing (catch crabs) in nearby Mandurah.
Best way to enjoy these two local delicacies is to cook em straight after you catch them, they're so fresh, and yummy, it's just so amazing. But uh if you're into the night life, there's not that much on offer around here, but hey the beaches are ok; Mindarie is great for snorkling, as the water is very clear. |
