The First President of Taiwan (May 25 ~ June 5, 1895)

the first president to rule Taiwan was not Chiang Kai Shek, nor was it Lee Teng-Hui. it was Tang Tsing Sung (唐景崧). Tang was the last governor of Taiwan. when a Republic was established in 1895 to resist impending Japanese rule, he was unwillingly appointed president. Tang stayed in power for 11 days before fleeing to China.

Considering what Chen is doing, I fear that 民國遺老 like me will be persecuted. icon_rolleyes.gif

Which is why you should fight it. If all else fails and Chen seems pressed to create a Republic of Taiwan filled with anti-Chinese traitors (political and cultural) then carry the struggle further with force. Revolutionary aims require revolutionary action. I encourage all patriotic Taiwanese to rebel against a Taidu government. They obviouslly have no regard for the lives of Taiwanese if their single-minded drive towards separatism and their quisling pro-japanese collaborationist tendencies are plainly evident. Political violence is a means to an end, rest assured, your comrades across the straight will assist you. If a civil war is neccessary, then so be it. If the island is split in two between a loyalist north and traitorous south, do not fear as the mainland will supply you with ANY weapons you need to complete the reconquest.
