There are countries that have a lack of natural resources and yet become much richer than Philippines is today.
The only resource they have is a population with a higher innate intelligence.

Daniel Dingel (http://danieldingel.com/) is just one example of a Filipino who was not allowed by its own Central Bank of the Philippines to develop his higher innate intelligence because it would threaten the benefactor countries of the bank. The Philippines seems to be not allowed in the industrial section of world development. If it did, then Dingel's water powered car could have rendered fossil fuel powered car obsolete by now. Other areas which the Philippines can excel are aircraft and missile technology (w/c ex Pres. Marcos also ventured into), robotics, and even shipbuilding, many more... but all these, like all other industrial nations, need capital. I also hope that the Bangko Sentral start to consider giving subsidy to farmers on rice production, just like in Japan. It is an incentive long due to farmers to help raise his standard of living and not abandon the farm (and congest the city). It may also attract the unemployed in the cities back to the farms. Sustained development needs capital. It cannot be done alone with just plain "higher innate intelligence" of the population. One way or the other, the countries you are referring had borrowed capital from banks or had benefitted from proceeds of gold bullions that originated from the Philippines. Just like we did nothing to claim back the Gorontalo and Manado provinces from indonesia and orchid island from taiwan,we did nothing to claim back our lost wealth.

I am just pointing out that arabic script will be used instead if the spanish did not come.

I think it would go to other places in the world if nobody claims.

As for abilities and intelligence, we are abundant with it. But without capital, we end up sending most people to other countries to earn, most of the times underemployed and maltreated.

Many Marcos Loyalists seems to be in an upbeat mood nowadays. They say funds are coming to fully develop the Philippines this year. Are those funds mentioned in the Holographic Will, the reason? And of course that their beloved departed hero will be buried in Libingan ng mga Bayani and thus the curse will be broken and Philippines will finally see the light and be truly the "Lupang Hinirang". btw, I personally am not ashamed to admit that I am a Marcos fanatic. They are saying also the return of Sabah to Philippine hands is just a matter of time as we have strong legal basis and the decision favorable to the Philippines will be handed down this year.
If that's the case, all Filipinos should be rejoicing. Hopefully, a long and lasting peace to Mindanao.

The Holographic Will mainly concerns kins of Antonio Diaz aka Santa Romana. What Marcos loyalist maybe expecting could be from Marcos himself. In 2005, a $900+Billion swiss account came out in the international media linking the ex Pres. It could have been settled. That is more than enough to pay the Philippine national debt.
