Some says it supports 4G some says it does not support "TRUE" 4G.
What's the scoop on this? |

Some says it supports 4G some says it does not support "TRUE" 4G. What's the scoop on this? That is almost correct. iPhone 5 supports an enhanced 3G (not quite 4G but an enhancement to 3G) to allow more bandwidth. Think of it as 3.5G. It will be 3x the bandwidth that of the 3G iPhone (3S) as well as iPhone 4. A "true" 4G network should support 12x the rate of 3G if my memory served me well. Another alternative is going for the iPhone 4S, a memory-cap scale down of a regular iPhone 4, which is cheaper and still has that sleek look and feel of the iPhone 4. Rumor has it that iPhone 5 will revert back to the normal/classic look and feel. That's all for now. |
