Impressive. I hope the Legislative Yuan will be able to contain Chen Shuibian and the DPP regime. Perhaps president Chen will appoint a blue premier and form a new cabinet in compliance with the voxpopuli.

QUOTE (ZurichGrrl @ Dec 11 2004, 05:49 PM) ^its possible a-bien annoyed many people (including myself) recently with his name change thing i guess its what make the green loss It's not just the name change. A week after the attempted assassination, Chen said he would forgive the people behind the assassination and move on. However, as the election neared, he then accused two old, retired generals for planning soft coup d'tat. Obvious it was Chen's election trick again. Also, as the election neared, he asked KMT to change its emblem. The president has no right to force a democratic, political party to change its emblem. (Chen knew it too) Most people believe that this was his plot to change the national emblem in order to declare Taiwanese Independence. |

yeah, the whole name change thing was pretty messed up, and he should have left the KMT's emblem alone

did the blues win?
I believe the results were like this: 民主進步黨: 89 seats 中國國民黨: 79 seats 親民黨: 34 seats 台灣團結聯盟: 12 seats 無黨團結聯盟: 6 seats 其他: 5 seats 總計: 225 seats - And i agree - I think that Chen shouldn't have brought up the name changing stuff. |
