The only reason those two are friends is because of India, thats it. Thats the common foe that keeps them together. Its not an alliance based on real mutual friendship, its just a shared distrust of India.

And why these two countries distrust India?

China's closest ally / chinese's closest alley
chinses has many closest alley. In 1989 the US government gave all the chinese students in america pernament visa so that they don't have to go back to china and risk being killed.
As for the Chinese government in China, they don't have any allies at all. No nations is going to sell weapons to Chinese government, and no country is going to be China's military ally. Furthermore, the US has strategically formed military alliances with all the countries sourrounding China.

LMAO how would the "alliance" work against China? It would hurt those "allies" of the USA more if they did help because of the impact China has on the world economy. China can and had always bought advanced weaponary from Russia but it is now beginning to finally develop its own advanced weapons, it will not buy anything from Europe even if the embargo was lifted.

China has Never bought any advanced weapons from anyone. Russia has sold and is currently selling 2nd rate military tech. And Russia has never sold any nuke subs to china, russia only sells diseal electric subs to china.
China has STOLEN alot of military tech from usa. W88, cruise missles, shoulder held rocket launchers with array radars, Aegis warship design. The key word here is Stolen, not develop.
But, that is ok, if you can't develope it , why not steal it.
Sorry to pop your imaginary bubble, but China has not invented any modern weapons as of yet. You can talk to your foot , ear, hair, or whatever body parts, but this is the fact.

Su-30 is still pretty advanced, the SS-N-22 Sunburn is still pretty advanced, the SS-N-27 Klub is advanced, the Kilo Class SSKs are pretty advanced. If those are outdated and ineffective, why does the USA keep mentioning those in their annual Chinese Military report?

Yes, I do think these weapons from Russia are pretty advanced.
I can also tell you, the cheapest way to avoid spending too much money in military is to make friends.
DuHHHHHHHHHHH!!
Unless, you and your country has too much of an ego to feed, and too insecure to admit that your are wrong and your foriegn policy is counter productive and not fruitful.

Nope, the cheapest way is to research, develop and produce them yourself.

China's foreign policies has always been "don't interfere with other countries business," its daddy USA that needs to change their policies regarding hegemony. I think we can all agree that the USA has more enemies in this world than China.

I don't think China has an ally. It never really did through history. Chinese are still busy fighting amongst themselves, let alone have an ally.

It's bad in a way, but it's also good in another. Work like an army of one (1.3 billion, rather) and work for its own benefits instead of having to look out for another or go out of its way to make good relation with another and get worked up if something goes sour between the 2.

You could develop it but it would take years and years of R&D and once you've developed it the other countries have already moved onto next generation equipment.

You might say it's "stealing" but western countries have stole from everyone and they remember how they sold out the unit 731 victims for data.

Things are never fully indigenous and western armies took alot of Chinese tech thanks to Ghengis Khan and integrated into their own systems not to mention the Soviets and Americans took alot of Nazi tech. It's not theft it's getting even and catching up and playing it smart.

Why spend 10 years and millions and millions of dollars on developing something that's already out there on the market? It just makes economic sense.

Some say N. Korea. But N. Korea not been paying attention to China these days.
Albania use to be Chinas closest ally.
QUOTE
Albania was very important, not just as a socialist ally to China, but because it seemed to confirm and validate the Maoist doctrine as a world ideology. None of the other socialist countries, not Vietnam, nor Laos or Korea, embraced the Cultural Revolution, promoted it, or in any way regarded it as more than a national phenomenon confined to China. None of the other socialist countries embraced the false super-power theory and the doctrine of "social-imperialism."
Albania alone seemed to be the only follower of Mao among all the socialist countries. For that alone it was frequently and effusively praised.
The fraternal relations between Albania and China seemed to be of a model character -- what the relationship between a big socialist country and a small one ought to be.

Albania also needed China to counter Yugoslavia and Russia. Yugoslavia was the region power while Russia was at odds with Albania. With time and change in gov'ts. today Albania and China even though they maintain diplomatic relations aren't as close as they use to be.

Cuba is probably going to become Chinas closest ally. China investing alot in Cuba. Following from Wikipedia even says they are planning to open a base there and have listening post aimed at the US.
Read this from Wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cuba-China_relations

I totally agree. Over the course of Sino-Russian history, the Russians have repeatedly proven to be the most shameless and unscrupulous of backstabbers. It is because of them that the Chinese have lost enough territory in the far east, Siberia and Mongolia so as to make Taiwan seem insignificant. It would do the PRC good to treat with the Rusians soley on a busesness to business basis and nothing more.
