Many people claim they never studied Islam or know much about Islam but they can criticise anyone speaking about Islam. they must be like Muhammad who is guided by the voice of Allah. They are liars and bullies.
This 11 year old has never studied the Quran or the Hadiths but she is an expert on Shahadah. For me to teach her about Islam would be a waste of time because by intuition she is bound to know more about Islam than any one else on earth, like many here on this site. http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=playe...p;v=8dPb1bF-s4M |

Why don't the "sympathisers of Islam" do some serious research before they come up with their stupid arguments and then can only resort to 'ad hominem.' Yes I always wonder about that too. Could it be because they are too afraid of the truth, or may be just plain lazy. |

Yes I always wonder about that too. Could it be because they are too afraid of the truth, or may be just plain lazy. I believe that because some of these trolls have lived in South East Asia, and maybe made a few Muslim friends, they feel they know all about Islam. Unfortunately Islam is much more complex than that. And yes, I believe they are either too lazy or do not care to learn any more about something they believe they know enough about. Of course they are dead wrong. Many people feel the same way and that is why there is so much misinformation about Islam floating about. Everything about Islam is out there on the internet, both pro- and anti- Islam. These people should go and read up both sides and decide for themselves. It is so simple, all they have to do is post the question into the Google Search Engine like, "Jihad, or Muhammad, or Muhammad's biography, or Quran, or infidel, or Paradise, or 72 Virgins, or Islamic Harams or Islamic Halals, or blaspheming in Islam, etc," and they will find many answers. It is so easy, a University at their finger tips, and it is free. |

ElleXO, if u became a muslim and gave us your own personal reality check on the experience instead of cutting and copying other people's propaganda, i might believe your conclusion about Islam. I am more likely to accept Hambali's views for instance, than your google searches!!! I bet ElleXO's kids are named Google, or Dot.com!!! |

What elleXO doesn't realize is that the minute you put words like Jihad, infidel into searches that it already biases the search for negative aspects of the religion. Should we search for Jesus and his crucifixion and then lets the followers believe that even though Jesus knew his fate to be terrible that followers should also sacrifice themselves at the hands of their enemy?? Is that what Christ's religion is all about? See?? One can get a distorted view of things from simple searches?? Understanding isn't guaranteed???
As Tangy said, I would choose to believe someone who is Muslim talk about Islam rather than someone who only has presented his skewed view of Islam. Chutzpah and elleXO have presented their version of Islam .. And, it is a very distinct and hateful one. However the millions of followers of Islam still choose to believe ... why?? Could it be that there is more to Islam than what our self proclaimed pundits say about Islam??? Could it be that Islam is more than just Jihads and sex with virgins??? Maybe Islam is a real religion which encompasses the spiritual?? Well, if we believe these self proclaimed pundits then Islam is the very symbol of evil and we should denounce all things Islam or Muslim??? But are the millions of followers wrong?? Personally, I choose not to follow religion as a rule of life or any guiding light or any such ... rather I choose to be spiritual on the basis of how I relate to my world in the sense of where I came from and where I am going ... yeah sort of the Zen Koan. If you see these people who congratulate themselves on how wise and smart they are and how much better they are than you or me ... I would not heed their words cuz they are condescending and believe only their words are of value. How do we live with neighbors of such a mind??? I would not heed their words cuz they are condescending and believe only their words are of value. How do we live with neighbors of such a mind??? As a non-muslim living amongst muslim neighbours who are peaceable (Singapore), I feel that we should not take this peace lightly and mock their Islamic faith just because of the religious conflicts in the wider muslim world. If I were living amongst muslims in the troubled areas like Pakistan, Afghanistan, Egypt, Sudan and Nigeria for instance.... I would be involved in political activities that lead to conflict resolution strategies. However, I would not be a pawn in the far-right movement in spreading propaganda about Islam and its Prophet as Chutzpah or ElleXO have chosen to do so. They google the internet for material that serves the interests of far-right movements. That path leads to no dialogue, no peace. It only leads to more hatred, violence and bloodshed. There is a moment that one who is blinded by hate and revenge can learn about forgiveness and reconciliation. The Imam and the Pastor in the Nigerian conflict zone of Kaduna has shown us it's possible. Because there is already enough inter-faith hate and violence between Christianity and Islam, why should we as non-muslims add fuel to the fire and create more hatred and verbal violence between ourselves over this centuries old religious rivalry? |

And you expect a dialogue with such nasty accusation? Why do you insist that posting the terrible ordeal suffered by non Muslims under the hand of Muslims is spreading right wing propaganda? If you deny the event I posted never takes place, then prove it! If you think certain Quranic verses is wrong or misquoted, prove it! Don't just attack ad hominem and keep whining your self righteous indignation. It is really nauseating!

A drop of water can be refreshing ... but use the drop as in the Chinese water torture and you will soon find that even truth can become distorted by frquency
