No, I don't notice. Most of the people who I know who play badminton in Canda are white. Many are Asian, true, but most are white. i think he was talking about international competition. but yeah, most badminton players in canada are white, naturally. i wish the sport was more popular here. |

QUOTE i used to like playin badminton, but now i like tennis better. badminton u cant really use full force. in tennis, u could hit the ball as hard as you can. not necessarily, i've heard badminton smashes are faster than tennis smashes.... i'm not a physics experts so i couldn't prove this plus badminton is all about control, endurance, and mind games..... i mean you can win by a battle of endurace attrition but it's best to do trick shots and corner shots and drops to make the other person run and get tired faster. i've played 4 years in the high school team. we were CIF champions too!! actually we came in second but it was found out that some players of the winning team were not allowed to play because they didn't have the grades (omg what cheaters....lol) badminton is a very fun sport.....how can we show video files for others to download and see? my taiwanese friend had a fellow team mate record our match because he wanted to see his weaknesses and improve on it. it was a challenge match too so the winner would climb higher on the ladder (top 4 players play the matches that count in the games). the highest i've made was #7 in the team. that's because all the pro players know how to do nice back hands and good trick shots. a very fun sport indeed. i should be very thankful for it or else 4 years of inactivity would have made me a fat @$$ This post has been edited by Eclectic Asian: Oct 11 2005, 06:27 PM |

QUOTE (doctor X @ Oct 11 2005, 04:14 PM) NO one plays it in the US!!!!!!!!!!! i love it... but.. yeah no one plays, and its kinda hard playing alone... where do you live? there's lots of places to play it in the US. mostly at recreation centers. the best chances to play is if you have a badminton team in your high school or college or you can just join a club at a local recreation center. i guess it depends on where you live though.... |
