Mie Ayam (Chicken noodles) ![]() Is that Thai food? It sure looks spicy! ![]() I usually have it in soup with tofu and daikon. Also very nice cold with soy sauce as eaten in Japan Ahh Soba. I love it in the summer time for lunch. I like to put grated Yamaimo on top and put a little wasabi in the dipping sauce. The taste and aroma of buckwheat noddles can not be substituted. |

Is that Thai food? It sure looks spicy! Incorrect! It's Indonesian and the soup base alone isn't spicy unless you add the sambal (chili salsa). There's a saying in Indo: If it isn't spicy, it isn't good! Mie rebus (Egg noodles with curry like gravy): ![]() Kwetiau (Stir fried rice noodles): ![]() Ifumie (Crispy noodles with chop suey): ![]() No brainer: they're all Chinese influenced! But my choices are biased. If I had to choose, I'd choose phở... I just love the fresh herbs in it! It should be spicier though This is how I want it: ![]() Lots of herbs and chili sauce! |

Wow! Indonesian food looks good. Is that Vietnamese Pho or does Indonesia have its own version of Pho? omg I'm hungry after seeing this page again Naw Indo doesnt have pho, that's the real vietnamese pho!! ..think I'm going to buy some tomorrow AFAIK indo cuisine is the most diverse, it's really good, I can't get bored of it (I can advise you to go to the indo cuisine thread lol or watch the No Reservation episode), but lately I love indian food more Indomie is the world's largest instant noodle manufacturer. It's known by their strong flavoured spices that comes with it. After eating 2 much of that stuff I can't eat instant noodles no more XD I rather have the real stuff @ an asian restaurant.. nothing beats noodle soup + roasted peking duck for a lunch break |
