Taiwan no longer owes any external debt.

There is some internal debt owed to Taiwanese citizens within the nation, but no more foreign debt.

Did you just read government propaganda without giving your own thought?
Sigh.

No other country would lend money to your government. Take that as a good thing to brag.

Taiwan's foreign debt before this administration has always been miniscule. Sure paying it off makes a good photo-op. Ma is running out of "good news."

Look at how silly this guy looks.

Nobody wants to purchase Taiwan debt.

Chance of insolvency via takeover by PCB very high.

badparticle is a pro-Taiwan Independence guy.

He hates everything KMT does successfully, including reducing foreign debts to 0, homonizing relations with mainland China, and boosting Taiwan's economy growth to nearly 20 years high.......

KMT's achievements are becoming very sharp contrast to his beloved DPP, who is good at only two things - 1) creating chaos to win elections and 2) sabotage Taiwan's economy..... embarassedlaugh.gif

Sometimes I suspect him of being japanese or at least educated/influenced by japanese, for the fact that some of his sources in the past were japanese origin and hes position as heavily TI/anti China and so....

Good. You understand what the topic is about. And you clearly see that even your parent's line credit is more than the number in that goofy looking official's picture.

Now, regarding "internal debt" that got you very excited, you might like these pictures even more.

That is NOT according to my logic. Do you have anything substantial you want to add about debt?

Say your own thought. Otherwise you're only getting your Chinese friends excited and they start doing this to an anonymous internet user.

You know quite well that the KMT under Mr. Li Denghui rule could not represent the real KMT. Mr. Li was a long time sleeper agent of the DPP and the TI camp....So it explains why the steepest climb on the Central Government debt occurred between 1998-2000. And all those extra welfare expenditures such as Farmers Allowances, Subsidies for Farmers Insurance, and Elderly Allowances were initiated either by Mr. Li or the DPP to buy votes. Once these welfare programs are implemented, no government dares to cut it including Ma YinJiu....So Ma Yinjiu's KMT is only carrying burdens created by Mr. Lee and the DPP. Not to mentioned, Mr. Ma had to face 2008 world financial crisis. The government accumulated some temporary short term debts to smooth out the pain. But those debts are just temporary and one-time-payment in nature, unlike welfare program debts which will last until bankruptcy.

And if you take a peek into Taiwan's local governments debts, you will see the full picture..... All DPP governed municipalities in the past 15-20 years have the worst debts situation in Taiwan. Kaoshiong, which has been governed by the DPP for 14 years straight, is the CHAMPION OF DEBTS in Taiwan..

The best years Taiwan enjoyed truly very low debts happened during the rule of TWO Chiangs' Era between 1970-1990....Two great 49er-leaders who built the foundation of modern Taiwan and contributed the most to Taiwan's economy. Ironically dog-shiit Holok people hate them the most...LOL
