QUOTE (Cevilgenius @ Dec 29 2005, 06:37 PM) Hydralisks and Dragoons were my favorite... you could swarm them and they'd be invincible. I'd always max out all my controls with Hydralisks... and I could still make more. Mutalisks were fun too, but they were expensive. Lurkers are awesome but they're practically useless. Archons are unwieldy but as a single unit they kickass. Norm Lurkers aren't practically useless. |

QUOTE (turbogor @ Jan 1 2006, 01:41 AM) Meh... they sound like they're cursing all the time. I like drones better... plus they are part of a hive mind, a +1 in my book. Norm This post has been edited by Cevilgenius: Jan 1 2006, 02:44 PM |

The Zergs.
The best swarm creations in any RTS I have ever played, and still are: The Zerglings. As a rush tactic monuever and wait out method, they are a serious force if you don't just throw them blindly straight at the enemy like you can do with Hydras. I just love smashing into three different fronts via ground and air with seven different group armies taking out the main prize: any collectors/builders. I always had them in a constant build so I had a sizeable force ready for any incoming counter attack and I left my Hydras back at base to be the backbone of that force. By the time they realised they better shore up their defences I would have pushed into their base which would have very few resources to create a defence force. Only weakness is when fighting multiple enemies because you comit so much into one assault. P.S. Lurkers are absolutely brilliant. Personally, I prefer Lurkers to Hydras, although if fighting another Zerg army, I make sure I had enough Hydras. Also, the Queen was a very useful unit to use |
