tongue pierce - drew barrymore i saw a patient last night who accidentaly swallowed his tongue piercing and that thing was going all the way down in his gut...the problem is..that thing has got a thin pin like end and our gut moves in a peristaltic way..meaning it contracts n release n contract n release so yeah...he might end up coming with a pierced gut later |

Count calories and work out. Losing 3~5 pounds a month is super good weight lose. If you can lose 1~2 LB a month, then thats good.
weight yourself everyday and write down your weight mas well as what you ate for dinner, lunch and breakfast and snacks. You have to keep cutting down the food intake until you lose 1~2 pounds in a month. then stay at that calorie count. |

How To Lose Weight:
1.) Set Your Weight Loss Goals: The first step is to set a clear and realistic weight loss goal. How many pounds you want to lose and when? What is your desire target weight? 2.) Find Out How Many Calories You Need To Consume In Order To Lose Weight: calculate how many calories you need to deduct from your daily diet in order to lose weight. To lose weight you have to burn more calories than you take in. The goal is to limit your calorie intake and burn more calories through exercise. 3.) Eat Healthy: Healthy eating does not only promote good health but is also the safest way to lose weight fast. By eating healthy we mean giving preference to food items that are natural, low in calories, fat and sugars. 4.) Create Exercise Schedule: The fastest way to lose weight is through intensive exercise. Diet alone cannot give you fast results. For quick weight loss you need to exercise and in general be active. Include in your weekly schedule 3-4 sessions for Cardiod exercises (aerobics, walking, and running) and 1-2 days for weight lifting exercises. 5.) Stay Motivated: Motivation is perhaps the secret key for losing weight fast. If you are not motivated enough and if you do not believe in yourself then you are not going to succeed no matter what diet or exercise plan you follow. |

do you guys know of any good healthy methods to help someone lose weight? i know running helps but i heard that builds a lot of leg muscles. tbh you can lose weight just from doing nothing. just occupy yourself and don't eat too much each time. stress helps too lol so if u have exams..make the most of your supressed appetite |

i used to think weight loss was all about "calories in, calories out", i.e. burning more calories than you consume so you have a calorie deficit at the end of the day, but all of that is actually incorrect.
you can eat 3,000 calories a day and still drop fat. the trick is to change the way your hormones and fat cells function, which is done by severely restricting carbs. cut out sugar, grain, fruit, and starchy vegetables. go heavy on fats, chees, eggs, meat, and broccoli/cauliflower/cabbage. You'll die of a heart attack eventually. A low fat portion of meat at every meal is fine. For men, about one hamburger patty per meal, for women say 1/2 a patty per meal. beans are a good source of protein without any fat. Eating lots of green vegetables is a excellent thing. |

not true. watch this:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3NKRXEzLxbU paleolithic humans largely survived off of animal fat. it's the fuel of choice for our systems. what's horribly unnatural and damaging is refined carbs. humans have only eaten those for just a few thousand years. they're the true cause of heart disease. |

actively trying to lose weight is difficult. unless you're obese, I would try to suggest changing your perspective on food. It's all in the mind I think. Then weight loss will come naturally.
I've noticed that those I know who want to lose weight have an above-average obsession with food. They're always the one the get the most excited when they see food or go past food shops or when it's time to eat..whereas everybody else is just..mehh...Try to pre-occupy yourself with other things which you really enjoy...Start to think of food as just something to keep us alive (I know it's sad but you want to lose weight, right?)...eat small amounts..just til you're full, don't over indulge or treat yourself. basically, find things to obsess about. make you forget about food This post has been edited by mya89: May 23 2011, 09:57 AM |

^some food is incredibly addicting to some people. it depends on your brain chemistry.
wheat is really hard for me to resist. the gluten breaks down into petides that mimick opiates, which i'm really sensitive to. i literally get high off of eating pizza and pasta. other foods that are commonly addicting are sugar and casein (cheese/dairy). breaking the obession takes more than mental willpower, you gotta treat the food like the drug it is and completely abstain from its use. it's a chemical addiction. i won't let any wheat touch my tongue. Make healthier choices like, avoiding the coke and grab a pure orange juice. Have a sandwich instead of a burger. Eat brown rice instead of white. Control daily consumption and count your calories. do the exercises you enjoy =)

loosing weight is mostly about calories. have you noticed you have to workout pretty decent to burn 400 calories, that would be completely for nothing if it made u eat 1 burger's worth per day (small 1 dollar mc donald burger)
just eat 1200 - 1600 calories perday and do your regular routine... if u dont walk much, try walking everyday because it will stimulate matabolism without making you feel psycologically hungry. walk somewhere and some how that it doesnt feel like a chore or a work out but simply you getting somthign done through it. loosing weight isn't as much about working out as it is about mental discipline, but if you eat TOO little, your body will go into starvation mode causing you to gain extra weight during ur next meal, making it seem like ur not really loosing any weight. so try to eat a full 3 meals a day but limit the total calorie intake to previously mentioned amount and ur body will not go into starvation mode. you wont build muscle, you will lean out, and u wont loose muscle either unless u previously did some kind of resistance work out and stopped in order to try this method. |
