QUOTE (ksurf3rgrl @ Jan 17 2005, 12:17 PM) lovelyfart: Well the fact that he is a good husband and can't even speak english very well. And has always been like that ever since he lived in Korea. The fact that it IS true alot of Korean husbands do treat their wives well. Not just my dad.. he's one out of the many. It's like you saying yeah I've seen a korean guy treat his wife bad.. so that means all of them are like that. Get what I'm saying? So there are SOME that are like that and there are MOST that aren't. You haven't met EVERY korean. well i've never mentioned that everyone does. actually i said some do if you read my previous post. there are SOME korean men who treat their wives bad but there are a LOT of korean men who believe it's right to dominate their women. and of course thee's no way that i've met every korean. but i'm concluding it from numerous typical korean husbands i've seen and heard about. NUMEROUS. that is an enough number to generalize their traits. though most of them are in middle life, who still have conservatism and old thoughts from the tradition. |

QUOTE (Tomboy @ Jan 17 2005, 12:29 PM) QUOTE (Tomboy @ Jan 17 2005, 12:26 PM) QUOTE (caoyatian @ Jan 17 2005, 12:23 PM) QUOTE (ksurf3rgrl @ Jan 17 2005, 12:17 PM) caoyatian I expected better from you honey. But nevermind. You really want to believe korean husbands as a WHOLE are bad. So be it.. you just have a big ego. Who can't face the facts. a korean that are like that and there are MOST that aren't. You haven't met EVERY korean. no,i don't think so, i know some are still good. i believe it, and please i am honest, i also believe you r honest. then why bother to make this thread? edit- here, maybe my wording is confusing you. Why not put this in the Japanese thread instead of the Korean thread? Why not put it in Laotian or Cambodian or Vietnamese? Here you go. You want to know what Korean men are like? How the hell can you group an ethnic group's personality? And why BEAT? Why not what are they like? so taht we can TELL you that all men are DIFFERENT. edit- And if you like shinhwa so much, why would you think of them as wife beaters? beat???????? Can you find this word from my post??? i've never use this word in my post....... |

I've read them. Yeah I've met numerous Korean Husbands too.. trust me I've been around alot of old ajushis and ajumas during Korean Catholic Church. And alot of traveling. I have my own experience. Caoyation Then what is the point of this thread.. if you were wondering what Korean guys are like. What kinda question is "korean husband are still treat theri wives bad?". You know what I mean? Next time "think" before you make a thread. Positive. Btw if you were talking to my brother about this, he would think you're stupid. Probably block you on aim. |

And I think all people are chauvenistic, so what's your point? You brought up the fact with dramas too >that men treat their wives "bad"<

I have my own experience. lol they act like they have no problem with each in the public. actually everyone does. i'm hearing of countless complaints from Ajummas(아줌마들) about their husbands when they do 'ajumma talking'. also, korean men that have been raised or living in a western society for long would usually have finer westernized manners toward women or learn to accept them while they are getting assimilated to the different culture. |
