Hey, I didn't realize so many people here were from Toronto...I live like 2.5 hours away and drive up often to just hang out in the city and shop, etc.
Aside from all the main streets (yonge, spadina, king, queen, etc.) what do you guys do? I usually just walk around...my last trip was pretty bad becuz my gf and I just fought the entire time...so I wanna come up solo sometime. If any of you have any ideas or would wanna meet up and walk around all day I'd definetely be game |

I've never seen the CN tower at night...I tried to get the tour but it was like a 1-2 hour wait so just found something else to do.
A Toronto AF meet would be awesome...I could definetely take off a Saturday/Sunday to do it if anyone's interested. |

i'll put together an AF toronto meet if there are actually people showing up
there are lots of things to do in toronto. if ur asian, ur gonna love the pacific mall. which is in far north east end of the city in scarborough. also, there's the central island cruise which is fun. during the summer there's CNE (mid august to sept 1st) it's uber fun. as well....there are lots of festivals happening here during the summer. when it's summer, the clubbing events are really good at night downtown. i knew a few good clubs. well, i've lived in toronto for 5 years now, summer is the best season. screw winter |

I'd definetely be up for a Toronto meet, whether it be a big get together or just small. Like I said I usually just drive up to walk around Spadina China town, Yonge, King, and Queen street. If I go up within the next month or so I'd be going solo, so if anyone would just wanna get together and walk around or eat or something that'd be cool with me. Let's hear from some more Toronto locals to see what's up Edit: Oh yeah, when does it start to get cold up there? This post has been edited by leeminho86: Sep 9 2007, 08:47 PM |

yea, seriously. all torontonians should have a AF convention started. we should ask ben to make it an official event and alert everyone.
it gets cold here during october. november might still be in the positive if it's a warm year. i'm talking about celcius here. |

Do they ever have these "conventions" But in all seriousness, if they did only about 10-20 people will probably show up lol |

Definetely, I'm glad I'm a commuter's distance away if we ever do this
It seems in the past few threads and this one there are quite a few people from Toronto here, so you'd think it'd be possible to get a convention together. To be honest even if it doesn't pick up I don't even care if it's just like 2 or 3 people that wanna walk around and hang out...meeting new people is meeting new people in my book. Plus, I LOVE Toronto |

Summer in Toronto is fun, lots of things to do. But just what the hell is there to do in the winter?! I'm tired of wandering malls aimlessly, it's so friggin' cold here... |

If you dont have any hobbies like playing sports or whatever, toronto in winter time can be boring as hell... since its so cold, everybody wants to just stay home unless they are doing something fairly interesting.... Summer is ill as hell though..... |

I've been to the Pacific Mall, it was very crowded and noisy. I preferred the Market Village right next door, less crowded and good food to eat over there.
Yeah but I liked the Eaton Centre more, that one reminded me way too much of the Houston Galleria. |

i like eaton centre more than p mall also....p mall is too fob for me. i dont like it. eaton centre area is good if you are a girl (or with one) tehres a lot of clothes stores. but there are also a lot of restaurants so you cant lose. sometimes theres interesting shyt going on in the streets too. when i went, on one street there were these break dancing people. also some artist, spray painted (i think) iron man on the pavement outside the eaton centre. that was cool, he was skilled.
OH, but theres annoying shyt too. some bytch came up to be and said i looked like i need a hug. and then i look around and shes with some people with signs "free hugs". i duno wth that was, but it was very weird and annoying. This post has been edited by Mid-Night_Sun: May 26 2008, 01:30 AM |
