^ What are your exact symptoms? My friend got rejected from bootcamp because he has asthma, so I dunno how that'll fare with you. Though, your problems look like they can be solved by drinking less water and getting some sleep.

QUOTE(Shilla @ Jun 9 2007, 10:37 AM) you would fight for neocons? Stupid fu-king comment, you douche! He wouldn't be fighting for any political ideology, he'd fighting for his country. You don't have to AGREE with the president in order to serve in the armed forces. In fact, the only loyalty you have in the military is to the constitution and your country, no single person is your master. |

Before you join the corp, you will have to take some physical examinations and that will determine whether you'll be able to join or not. As for going to the head constantly, that's going to be hard on you in bootcamp. By law, you have the right to use the restroom when you have to. With the amount of training (unless they made it easier), all you'll be looking towards is a meal and sleep. You won't have time to think about using the restoom. :-) The only problem is, if you bother the drill instructors too much, you'll be in for a hard time. They'll give you special training in addition to everything else. Get ready for it and it'll be easier. I suggest you should start working out now or you'll wish you'll be in hell instead of the specialized training. |

Stupid and illegal are two different things. Stupid orders you follow illegal ones you must legally disobey. What you might think of as stupid may be just your lack of knowledge of the entire situation |

I'm not a recruiter or a MEPS doctor. There's a lot that can be waiverable in the Marine Corps but any serious medication you need in order to live while in recruit training like an inhaler you probably will not be accepted at MEPS. If you have a bladder problem, they might not accept you either since you'll be sleeping in racks and you'll be drinking a lot of water also throughout your life as a recruit in MCRD San Diego or MCRD Parris Island. I know asthma, diabetes, scioliosis (curved spine), epileptic seizures, and taking mental drugs like prozac and ritalin are disqualifires in the military. Talk to the recruiters and the doctors at MEPS when you visit them about your medical problems. They can give you better answers.

I'm feeling alot better now since i gone back to drinking water instead of coke and sugar affiliated products. I've cut down from urinating more than 10 time a day to 4-5 time a day. Now, all i need to know is why am i still urinating more than a average person (1-2 a day). Is it possible to be a Medic in the Marine Corp? Is it possible to be a Medic in the Marine Corp? I would go pay your doctor a visit and have a medical check up, ask him/her about your health concerns. If you pass the previous stage, work on your diet and physical fitness. Marine corp is certainly not for pussies but my moto has always been to strive in being better than you think you can be. If you think your up for it, why dont you try SF? (special forces) they for sure have medics in their respective units. Just be sure you can tolerate cold water for long periods of time, as my friend Nomad would say "water is what will make or break a candidate, in terms of physical challenges" Take a little read on this: Green berets |

It's a free country and it's not ruled by Nazi Liberals. Neocons...God I hate these stupid adjectives. there's no difference between Republicans or Democrats. They both send Marines overseas to get killed. |

I bet this person didn't say jack squat when Clinton, a Democrat, sent troops overseas to Somalia and Bosnia to get killed and for what? I also remember a lot of cruise missiles sent my Clinton's military that killed hundreds of Iraqi women and children long before 9/11 over WMD's and enforcing a no-fly zone. I wish these so called "Liberals" would just shut up. This post has been edited by PinoyAmerican: Oct 21 2007, 04:21 AM |

Some of these problem including: constantly going to the bathroom, feeling of weakness, dark-purple crescent under my eye lid. Will i be able to join the Marine Corp with these health issues?!?!?! First of all, have you seen a doctor? Your symptoms seem to indicate some kind of an infection that's causing you to have diarrhea(you're too young I'm assuming to have BPH so I'm guessing diarrhea)). Two: You're tired because you're losing electrolytes from your loose stools(a possibility). Three, those "dark-purple crescent" eyes of yours could be allergic reactions. Are you taking allergy meds? those cause drowsiness. Are you running a temp with those 3 symptoms? Are these symptoms occurring lately or all your life? Do you eat properly? Have you been traveling abroad? Sleep deprived? On meds that's causing you to go to the bathroom frequently and causing weakness(side effects)? I would have your doctor do a physical with vital signs, rainbow blood draws and check your CBCs(elavated WBC and symptoms of anemia) blood cultures(+ O&P), weight, and all that doctor stuff. Your symptoms are too vague to pinpoint a specific illness. Get a physical. The Marines are supposed to provide a physical anyway. Off your health, I say work out long before you hit boot camp. SERIOUSLY....WORK OUT for 2-3 months hard core before boot camp. You'll save yourself the agony. The Marines and the Army ain't your PE gym class. The Marines require you to run 3 miles in a certain time period, push-ups, sit-ups, and pull ups I believe. I'm Army, we only do 2-mile runs, push-ups, and sit-ups. This post has been edited by PinoyAmerican: Oct 21 2007, 04:44 AM |

I don't think water will help and sleep won't if he has an infection or maybe some kind hormonal problem(hyperthyroidism). This post has been edited by PinoyAmerican: Oct 21 2007, 04:49 AM |

Why do I bring up diabetes...your sugar intake history. To answer your questions on being a medic in the Marines...the answer is no. The Marines are assigned a naval corpsman to be their medic. The U.S. Army has medics and they're called 68Whiskeys. |

While the USMC might give individual Marines combat lifesaver training like the Army does its soldiers the Marine medic is not a Marine he is a US Navy Corpman. If that is your goal see a Navy recruiter. |
