My three favourite composers: Beethoven, Debussy and Chopin. And some Russian composers... make that four.

Beethoven - Very passionate man, very emotional pieces. The kind of guy that can let you bang on the piano and still sound good instead of annoying.

Debussy - When I think of Debussy I think of dreams, harmony, flowers, children and pastel colours. A pretty sentimental composer... very picturesque, calming music.

Chopin - A great balance of technicality and emotion. I love his Nocturne pieces; they inspire my creativity and calm me.

Russian composers - I'm a big fan of music in minor chords. These Russian composers convey these minor pieces with just the right touch. And I like their vigour.

I've gotta agree on Air on the G String, Bach. I think he's amazing.
Nothing comes from the top of my head. Yoko Kanno does a lot of great music, instrumental and not.

Topic of opera, I love Sarah Brightman. The opera part in "It's a Beautiful Day" is just amazing. Her voice is...so great.
