The Rape Options

An attractive woman in walked down the street. Her long blond hair bobbed down the sides of her partially exposed cleavage. She wondered if she had worn appropriate attire. Perhaps this was too much of a mismatch given the weather, but she liked to feel sexy on special occasions and this was definitely a special occasion. Since she had no jacket, she pulled her small black duffel bag closer to her.

She looked behind twice... There were no footsteps behind. This was the second time she'd stopped to make sure.... No one was around.. The streetlight flickered. Was it her imagination? She couldn't tell. Sometimes shadows played tricks with her. The chill winter air sent goosebumps up and down her arm and she quickened her pace. Nights like this were always foreboding.

The honking of cars in the distance and bustle of the street were muted in the distance as her footsteps drew quicker and closer to her destination. Soon she'd reach the apartment; she thought of it with some degree of excitement. Nightfall had come quickly. Darkness was quickly gaining momentum and cloaking first the walkway, then the overhangs, then stairwell making it almost unseeable and her motions undetectable. She needed to move faster.

She briefly glanced upwards at the windows of the small neat buildings she passed by. The first house was where the elderly couple lived. They always went to bed before the evening news. They had a comfortable existence, probably microwave meals in front of re-runs of some 60s television nostalgia or qvc. Their movements were like clockwork. She had watched them closely. They never deviated from the mundane routine. The second house was recently sold. The owners won the lottery or inherited a fortune, they were long gone out of this neighborhood. That was no surprise. Most people who fell into even a bit of money got out of this place. The streets were pretty empty. It was not that a lot of crime occurred here as far as the news reports had to tell. But there were stories that went around town, which were enough to make anyone new suspicious of rapists and other waywards. She was glad she had made preparations. She new this street well. She didn't feel afraid of anything. No voyeurs.... The third house... ... this was the house.

Silently she reached the door, she listened for any sounds out of the ordinary. It was a very late hour.. Not even owls were hunting. The neighbors had most likely gone to bed. The diehard party-ers should have passed out by now from their drunkness, which is what she was counting on. Hardly any one on this street on this night would be awake. He would probably be passed out. He was like clockwork too.

It was exactly as she expected. The lights were out and a empty bottle sat at the top of the window sill. The makers of Everclear had definitely improved her business. Her slender hand touched the knob. She fidgeted with the lock for a second, but the door was jammed shut. The curtains were only partially drawn. For a moment, she paused. She wondered if this was a problem. But she had already come this far.... She'd just have to close them once she got in to keep out intrusive eyes. She had prepared for this. She dug in her purse. She removed the file. It stuck. Finally, she got in and crept in the shadows up the stairs soundlessly.

When she got to his room, she stood over him. His soft flannel pajamas partially covered his spiderman drawers.

Perfect. Passed out in the darkness. Inebriated. Helpless. Defenseless. She took out the duct tape from her bag. There would be no struggle. She descended upon him.... She smiled. It was hard to find victims these days. Virginity was being sold on the internet and it was a hard commodity to find. But she liked to get hers for free. His body lay quivering. He was innocent no more!
