QUOTE(sweetntwisted @ May 17 2006, 10:31 PM) I want a cute little one. Any suggestions? I remember Sephy listed a good one that was compact and had low recoil. Low stopping power though. |

QUOTE(sweetntwisted @ May 17 2006, 10:38 PM) recoil? low stopping power? I dunno the lingo. Ask sephy to post a pic please. Here's the link: http://world.guns.ru/handguns/hg21-e.htm ![]() ![]() It's Russian though, so it might be hard to find. Basically, a gun is a minature cannon. Each bullet casing has a small bit of gunpowder in the back and the bullet in the front. When you pull the trigger, a hammer smashes into the back of the bullet casing, igniting and detonating the gunpowder which fires the bullet. The larger the bullet, the more power goes into firing it. That means the bigger the explosion and the more recoil, or force that's released into your hand. For home defense, you'll most likely not be fighting someone with body armor, so all you really need is a low power gun with just enough power to have the bullet enter the guy. The gun I posted is compant and small so it can be easily carried. The firepower is very low, just enough to hurt a guy but not enough to stop him if he's wearing armor. Use this gun as an example. Just look for a low powered compact gun. This post has been edited by Suijen: May 17 2006, 11:47 PM |

I'd prefer the mini gun actually. It'll slice open my enemies like mince meat.

Gun laws in the US are terrible.
There needs to be a test to see if you should be able to buy a gun. And once you pass that test, you should be able to buy any gun you want. |

Psychology test? A lot of people can pass those types of test easily by lying.

I meant a test like:
1) How Dangerous is a Firearm? 2) Should you shoot at hooligans drinking in your property? etc. |

Its that we don't enforce them enough. |

The .45 acp is mainly for compact pistols right? I'm looking at this ballistics chart:http://world.guns.ru/ammo/am02-e.htm and it places the .45 ACP has having low kinetic energy, so I'm guessing low stopping power. Penny for your thoughts. Oh, and do you think the gauge of rounds used in this extrema video can be 12 guage? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s13Y7SKrFls&search=shotgun |

Its not like a 44 mag. But it goes in about .5 inches exits about 4 inches. Its lethal. I think 12 guage number 7 or 8 shot. for skeet or trap. As for pistol size frame? There are compact 45 acp's I dont like them. I like a manly gun with a little weight. It helps with accuracy, felt recoil and a bigger gun looks meaner hahahaha.
