When they lost civil war, they scratched all the wealth they could find in China and shipped them to taiwan.
well those native born taiwanese say they have nothing to do with chinese. Well how about return those wealth to china, they belong to the chinese people. Well on top all, those yrs you got to calculate the interest on top that. If they have any consciousness, they better return the stolen wealth first before talk about democracy. |

QUOTE(PB. @ Feb 3 2007, 02:41 PM) Arguing about money thats already been spent... ZzzZzz consider it the modern version of credit card. you still have to pay for your credit card, do you? credit card interest is not cheap, over 20% annually. so all those yrs, 50 yrsor so. you do the math. The money that the KMT plundered back to Taiwan is not what brought about Taiwan's current economic status.

I don't get it either.
You say they "scratched together all the blah blah blah" so wouldn't that imply that it belonged to the people who also was with the KMT and went to Taiwan? So it's their wealth? And do you mean wealth as in physical pieces of money or in terms of artifacts and whatnot? |

1. what does the money have to do with democracy
2. The money KMT transferred to Taiwan belonged to the national treasure of Republic of China. It was collected from numerous taxes that the citizens of ROC paid. Therefore, it is used to reward the citizens of Republic of China. For those who betrayed the Republic (and supported PRC), you don't deserve the money. The money is not yours. If you want to support another country (PRC), go find your own money. |

Any things that are valuable. You think KMT would leave the gold , silver reserve behind for the red army. If I were the KMT, I probably would grap whatever I can and flee to taiwan. That's doesn't mean I am right in what I am doing. than again I am not KMT, so I going to bring it out. don't be a dummy or just acting it doesn't exist. It's all common sense. Any more questions or desires to know more. always feel free to do some homework and research on this topics. This should enhance your research capability if nothing else. |
