The Philippines landmass was connected to Borneo by land bridges many years ago until the sea level rose and then the Philippine landmass was separated from Borneo. Many islands of the Philippines are Volcanic in origin meaning they are created by molten rock from the erupting Volcanoes.

QUOTE(champola @ Jun 16 2007, 07:56 PM) thx, scientic theory ung sinabi mo po, kailangan ko pa nang biblical at mythological theory. please stay away from that intelellctual poison. The Mythology in the Bible only applies to the tribes of Israel (The Israelites) and you're (Filipinos) not part of them. In the Bible, the middle-east region is the world. You're teacher is brainwashed and trying to infect you that as if Philippines has something to do with what's going in the Bible. We should not try to connect the Philippines with semitic history or mythology. Please tell your teacher. This post has been edited by uwag_davao: Jun 16 2007, 09:03 PM |

YOu guys haven't heard the wonderful story of two giants fighting each other? They picked up mud to throw at each other and those muds became the islands.

just talk about the story of creation, no matter how bogus you may or may not think it is. you do what you need to do to get a mark. being a prick and not including creationism because it's against your beliefs (lol no pun intended) will just get you an F.

who knows the teacher might give you the highest score in the class because you used your common sense by not wasting your effort to find something in the Bible that exist (ex. Philippines).
also save the url of this thread and present it to him/her so that he/she will know and appreciate that you done something. |

teachers should have been teaching common sense and ask the students things that are possible for them to do. If your teacher did ask you to write the creation of Philippines based on Bible Mythology, then your teacher had discovered/know something that will shake the history of Philippines.

Thats the Problem nowadays, Common sense is not common. Im a history Major, the Bible has nothing to do with the Philippine Archipelago. What I know is that in Genesis, God Created everything (Ocean, sea, land, mountain, creatures etc.)but you can't find how god created the Philippines in detail. If your teacher can show in the bible how god created the Philippines in detail, then probably he can also tell how the hell god created USA, FRANCE, GERMANY, CHINA and other countries in detail. I believe that your teacher can only tell about how the sea and land mass was formed based on the bible. HEy! Can you post here what your teacher side? |

Kilala mo bah si Bro. Elly Soriano of Dating Daan ? Maraming sagot ang taong yon. I think kaya niyang sagutin ang lahat ng mga tanong kahit payong mga scientific and UFOs questions gamit lang ang Bibliya. walang tanong na hindi nya kayang sagutin.

Man to be honest your making such a big deal out of this assigment. Just make up something, something funny and intelligent. How exactly is your teacher grading you on this? Its most likely a "Creative writing" excersice, because whatever anyone writes, how is he going to exactly compare the facts? Like what all of us have mentioned on this post, "Nothing is written in books about this"! So watch some TV and then start writing! Good Luck!

I have a story that I invented that God was creating the earth by placing pieces of land on the water like a jigsaw puzzle then when he was going to place the Philippines he droped it that is why the piece of Philippine land shattered into pieces that became the Philippine Archipelago.

This should be placed in the Philippines Museum of History so that visiting Filipinos can look back at the colonial past. Look at this religion, it branched into a lot of Jesus Cults in Philippines that further divided the people in terms of different belief and Bible interpretations. |
