One thing I notice when I visit Vancouver is that there are a tonne of Indians, and a tonne of Chinese people, but the two groups never interact. Its like, India/China thing going on. Two neighboring communities that have all of the chance to interact and mingle, yet don't. Though I did see a Chinese style Indian food restaurant in Surrey .

Of course because these two groups don't share anything in common.

well my bf looks indian at first i didn't like him b/c first off he had long hair EW sorry not my type (i cut it later on) then he had this beard o.O nasty..but i made him shave haha..then i spiked his hair and voila or whatever hes hot its funny cuz some indian people try to talk to him in their language ^_^

Bad. They threw rocks at me , chased me around and yelled racist slurs.
But the neighbours nearby were ok. The ones that were mean usually lived no so close to my place.

However that was a very long time ago....I left India when I was a kid and can only say a few words in Hindi.

It was the other way around for me. My Indian ex bf got mistaken for South-East Asian....even by other Indians. The "Oh my god an Indian girl dating a SE Asian boy" looks were priceless.
