We are all human beings for god's sake. because of the law.. everyone couldn't kiss or hug someone.. .we need love ..we need to express out love too..

ok with those things.. but can kissing and hugging in public be an insult?? please ... that's so old tradition..
kissing and hugging is a normal way of expressing your love to your loved ones..btw kissing and hugging is also considered like an international symbol of saying "i miss you","How are you","Good bye", etc..
the worst thing that happen is that they local tv shows cutted away all the kissing parts.. dam.. that's so uncool..
they say that we dirty our children's mind.. that's not true.. is that you are not open enough or you can say that you are still old fashion..

if I can remember correctly, this ban started when one politician saw a couple doing an erotic 10minute french kiss at the bus stop....which angered this old fagged who dream that how nice if he had the girl instead

kissing and hugging is still tolerated by many malaysian ....you can still do it in public in moderation. Even though if you do an erotic one....who wants to catch you?

I always do it in KL....couldnt care less of the authorities...there isnt any fyi.....if a religious officer saw you doing that...he cant do anything either. He needs a witness and accompanied by policemen in order to reprimand you.

Malaysia is not the only Asian country in the whole wide world.

Can't blame about other Asian countries getting influence by western culture is because of the media.

All the time American media has made is way through block buster hits and cinema's.

Even some Asian countries have a democratic government system even Malaysia.

So why should you adopt this type of system for giving freedom to vote?

In South America where public kissing is common and accepted by society, their economies are not necessarily wawasan 2020 mode. There's nothing to link spontaneous behavior with the country's economic progress. But it does say something about the repression and judgmental attitudes of the leadership on its peoples.

I don't think leaders should mind themselves abt such trifling matters like their citizens' display of affection in public. The next thing they gonna say, don't kiss the hands of your elders in public when greeting?

Leaders should be spending time to improve our social mobility and economic wealth and resources, instead of telling us what to do in private or in public.
