Ma Ying Jeou has repeatedly said that China needs to remove its 900+ ballistic missiles before talks can proceed.
All nice and well, but the guy does not seem to be aware that China's missiles are mobile-mounted on vehicles, and can be moved back easily within range of Taiwan again overnight. What the guy needs to call for is for China to dismantle the missiles - take them apart piece by piece, bury/burn them, have them inspected to make sure that all missiles are gone, etc. |
