Most of Minahasan man's KNIL like my mum's father but my dad's father was the secretary of Permesta during those days. I rad most of the permesta history once when I was at my grandpas house.

i heard they have slanted eyes like the chinese.
the word Minahasan looked like Minangkabau..

dont know which part of indonesia they are from..

Dian Sastro is very sweet and pretty. and a Javanese!! another Acehnese actress(forgotten her name) is the most beautiful among all.

What do they mean by PURE INDO?? some state it as... PURE INDO-JAVANESE while some just.... PURE-INDO.

Didnt know Minahasan are people from far away place from Jakarta.

It means that the person is Pure Indonesian, d'uh! And we just looove to know her/his ethnicity, so that explains the "Javanese" part.
Jakarta is only one place, you know. Indonesia is more than Jakarta, much more diverse and much bigger!

Oh dear, don't luv at my very poor sentences.
I know many of us learned different English dialeg from a different country.
Example: XxryochanxX learned the English American, I learned English Australian, Furan learned English British & I guess you learned English Singapore.

Ahahaha, I guess I know where your confusion came from, pak singa! We often abbreviate Indonesia to "Indo", and we also call Indonesian with foreign ancestry as Indo too
But if it's "Pure Indo", it certainly means "Pure Indonesian"

Yes, that's my picture taken a week ago.
I'm not as pretty as Nadya as I'm a pure Indonesian.
I once met a British Pilot and he said I'm look Anggun C Sasmi but because my skin white & lighter so there's a different. My cousins friends said I'm look like Christina Aquilera (I think little bit and that's when I was a teen).
My daughter's court me watched Anggun's Song 'Snow on The Sahara' in YouTube a few days ago and she said "Oh mum! That girl look like you!" I said "What?"

I am look like those one but when I put on weight change a lot. Btw, I'm who I'm & I don't really like to be compare the similarity of other girls.

what do i know about minahasans??? Gosh, i know heaps! first of all i went for a vacation there with my family last christmas and it was awesome! i went to sooo much weddings and parties non-stop! so busy at the time. the weddings overthere are absolutely beautiful, it's very high class standard, as if a celebrity would make a wedding. LOL.
- As i was been bought in a western society, many of my indo friends say that minahasans/manado are "party people"
- they also refer Manado people as "Binyo"
- they say the girls there are really "cantik" (beautiful) hehehe.
- i've read an article on the internet that manado people look more latino/a or even a slight look of thai
- they have the most delicious foods in indonesia
- more than 90% of manado are Christians
- famous for its scuba diving, Bunaken island
- Manados have the best features/looks in comparison to other regions.
- Are very similiar to the Filipino people.
- They say that they're "mata duit", but thats not true.

Basically, Manadonese people are very modernism than any other region in indonesianm, due do being ruled by the Dutch in the earlier years. For example, the wedding styles in Manado, is basically the same as an western wedding, although if you observe an javanese or a dayak wedding..its more traditional and conservative.
