I know what they are. I have one on my front tooth. I chipped it before, and had to get a root canal on the tooth because it was going to rot. Now I have a porcelin vaneer on it and if I recall correctly just the one cost my parents like 300$.

dude i need braces but i'm 19. i would hate to have a big chunk of metal in my mouth. I'm thinking about invisalign. anyone heard any reviews about it?

get the braces. Its not that bad. Depending on how messed up your teeth are, it'll take anywhere from 2-4 years.. then you'll have straight teeth for life Theres also the clear brackets now that you can't see that well.


Time of wearing braces: 3.6 years
Pain of wearing braces: negligible
Cost of braces: $3000
Having people comment on how great your smile is: Priceless

clear braces are usually more expensive, i think.. if you want the completely clear kind, like the kind Tom Cruise had (has?)

it is virtually invisible.

but the regular kind aren't really that noticeable i don't think, after a while anyways

Lol.. I wore it for like a year then I stopped. My top teeth are fine... my bottom teeth moved a little but still unnoticeable. Its been like 10 years since I wore a retainer. I try to wear my retainer every few days to slow down the movement. It hurts for the 1st day like it moving my teeth back into space then it doesn't hurt anymore. So I guess it didn't move that much which is a good thing Oh, I had a great orthodontists, its the same guy that did Ms. America's teeth a few years back Its like my claim to fame hahahah muwahah
