It's so freaken stupid when you think about it. Small business who expects a graduate university student with some of working experience to work for them, yet they don't have the potential to pay the industry average salary.
Today I went to an interview for a Graduate Business Development position, which normally pays about 40-45K as a start off entry salary for medium to large size promising organization. When I was talking to the recruitment agency, they said its $40k per year, but when I went to the final interview with the business director, he told me they are offering $30k per year? I was like, seriously? WTF is going on here. I studied my @$$ out for 4 years in university to be mock by such a pathetic position. I get paid heaps more in my current position, and way better career advancement opportunities. I don’t even need a university degree to work in my current position. |

Smaller businesses simply cannot afford to pay you as much as the bigger companies because they don't have the deep pockets. Also the workload for a 40k/yr job at a small company will undoubtedly be much higher than at a big company. But the tradeoff is the small company has much more room to grow and to advance you for your early work with them in the beginning.

I think d reezon thy need a Uni grad wt few years workin experienced espeacially in MNC- Multi National Company is basicly because of thy exposure....
1 thing for sure the pay & benefit will be slightly less & on top of that you got to work harder in a small firm cos most of the task are handle by you....or may b an assistant. whether this is making sense to you... |
