I used to be puntual. 8 years later, i'm always 20 mins late now. I figure I paid my dues and proved my dedication.

One time I was two hours late tho. I woke up to the sound of my phone, it was my supervisor calling. There was no reason to lie so I told him the truth.
I think my alarm went off, I woke up, saw my brother in the shower, layed back down but ended up falling back asleep.

Haha, nice. biggthumpup.gif

Generally speaking, if you're 5 to 10 minutes late, I will tolerate it. I won't look favorably upon it, but I won't punish you for that. If I'm in a good mood, or if it's a Friday, usually I will allow that to be 15 minutes.

If you're more than 10 - 15 minutes late, you deserve to be scolded.

If you're planning on being more than 10 minutes late due to unforeseen circumstances (like a traffic jam due to accident), you better call the office and let them know.

I'm always usually, 10 minutes early to work. I can't stand tardy people. One of my pet peeves. It's rude, self-centered, and irresponsible.

Edit to add: Unless of course, it was completely out of their hands, like transportation issues.

^ uh... thanks...i think embarassedlaugh.gif

i'm so not punctual in general though, but i think it's a learned habit.

i'll set up a meeting for say 10 and people don't show up until 10:05 or 10:10, so i get the impression it's ok and i start doing it to other meetings too...and pretty soon it goes into other personal appointments.

icon_redface.gif, i should really make it a point to get there a little earlier.....but people at work get there at like 6 or 6:30AM, I don't get up til 6:30 and have a hour long commute

I fear being late for work. I once missed my bus and I had to wait another 20 mins for another bus. =(

There was another time when I fell asleep studying and I woke up 5 mins after when I was suppose to start.
I got to work like 1/2 an hour later. =(

Share you late for work experiences.

I was late for work once because I forgot to set my clock 1 hour ahead.
