personally, i really cant see this happening im afriad. japan still cant get over the fact that they borrowed too much from china in the past that is evident in their culture and customs.

china cannot get over the fact that japan invaded manchuria and parts of china proper in the past. to make things worse, japan has declined to make war atrocities committed against chinese and the issue of the comfort women.

china japan relations leave a lot to be desired, the fact that both have different political systems makes it worse too.

on a brighter but less relevant note, korean and japanese relations are warming. you hardly see any koreans youngesters ever metionar war atrocities committed by the japanese and in actual fact, both sides of the japan sea have high respect for each other and also admire their respective cultures. 20 yrs ago or so, they hated each other guts.

it would well over 50 yrs before china and japan relations can get better - china must first be more liberal and open up more. korea i admit, dug in and had that "lets forgive and forget" policy where they are the losers in the battle.

I think most Chinese are fine with Japanese people unless provoked which is quite intolerable.

LOL Yeah I'm totally fine with Japanese people. I don't blame any of them for whatever happened in WWII. That was the past generation, and the Japanese today aren't responsible for it. Vietnam and the Japanese worked together briefly to kick out the French until they turned on each other and WW2 was over before any one of those sides could be defeated.
If you want to blame anyone for the "Annamese" defeat in WW2, then blame the French, they were the ones fighting. lol. Vietnmese nationalist worked with the Japanese to fight against the French and afterwards we dissappeared in the country side to fight against the Japanese as well

..........man Japanese even attack Vietnam after we help them fight the French.

I would love to join, grew up traditional chinese, and no one in my family is racist. I don't see a point in being mad, if they were still doing bad things then fine be pissed, but since nothing really is happening then we should try to mend the problems. ^ e_e no offense but its just best not to think about it. We should look and compare it to how much better things have gotten, and think, "Hmmmm, will being pissed at a corpses innocent family help? I mean every nation has done something awful if not to there own people. Hitler, Evil to everyone basically, even his followers would live by strict and strange rules, Mao forced some familys to proverty and a certain empreor killed scholars, Colonists and Americans took land from Native Americans, Japanesse lived within a very rigid society, and even the church was corrupted at one time. The point is everyone will do something wrong, but we should try to mend that and remember not to allow it to happen again.
