its based on overall rough military power,
not counting the strategy and alliance power of course. but yea, sadly our military power dominated in land army its ironic that Navy should have more portion since in strategic wise indonesia have more sea than land. |

Yankees
They spend so much on useless $hit During the wargames between Australia and the U.S., good o' aussie diggers were digging trenches the traditional way - with the shovel. Nice and quiet but hard and consistent work. On the U.S. side, there were explosions (they were using dynamite), choppers bringing in bulldozers, more explosions, recon drones floating overhead checking positions, even more explosions, choppers picking up and delivering more bulldozers, etc etc. Once they were done, they left half their equipment behind. A bulldozer, unused explosives, shovels, all sorts of $hit. INCREDIBLE |

I know that our military budget and military weapons, hardware and purchasing power is not as big as more wealthy neighboring countries, such as Singapore, Malaysia, or Thailand.
But if we consider draft from civilians (given our enourmous populations), combined with guerilla warfare (sabotage, infiltrate, terror etc), our armed forces past battle experience with independence rebel of East Timor, separatist of Aceh, we do have certain comparative advantage. If the war (God forbid) is happening, we're more powerful than most of our neighbours. The only serious threath to Indonesia (countries that have ability to outnumbered us in military power, weapons and personel) is China, India, and USA. But I'll say no to war... we're peaceloving creatures.... |

i am thought than indonesia is never less rich than malaysia or thailand
indonesia per gdp = 1,800$ thailand per gdp = 3,000$ malaysia per gdp = 6,000$ in the malaysia, is some richer, but .. 230million people of population pass over indonesia thailand 63million people malaysia 27million people singapore 5million people if consider population, it is the country that indonesia is most rich to nation economy scale.. it is that indonesia becomes strongest military strength even if invest finance of same ration in country justly.. |

^^ higher GDP per capita !!! but lower GDP. Itu sudah pasti soalnya less people that will drive the economy, hence less gross domestic products.

What do you feel if Indonesia turn to militant Nazi-like fascist, expansive, and aggresive country, and went on bloody campaign to annexed Malaysia, Brunei, Singapore, and parts of Southern Phillippines in the name "to revive Srivijaya and Majapahit"...? Not a pretty idea for your country eh...? |
