Xieng Teng (Stung Treng), Why was it given to Cambodia Options

Well i came to some infomation about why the French Gave Stung Treng to Cambodia.

I was going to post it on Khmer Chat, but there are t0o many Trolls there who cant have a civil conversatoin.

So i decided to post it on Lao Chat, since it is a province in Cambodia mainly made up of Lao ppl.

Currently Laos has MoUs to provide 5,000MW to Thailand until 2015, and a further 2,000MW after this date until 2020. Vietnam has also agreed to purchase 5,000MW of electricity from now until 2020.

That is certainly a lot of power. It is about 2.5 times the new Nuke Plant that Vietnam is planning to build.

Probably way to go for Laos, when you're landlocked, have no oil in your territory, plus you can keep one of the most precious element on earth, "WATER" to use during the dry season.

Yes, i'm aware, but those critics are up against larger institution like World Bank. Without China, Thailand, Vietnam and the World Bank, Pathet Laos won't be able to build more dam. Check out the link below.
