QUOTE Spore is a simulation game created by Will Wright that allows players to control various life forms from the cellular to the galactic level. ================================================ WATCH THIS SHORT TRAILER THAT EXPLAINS THE ESSENCE CLICK HERE: SPORE TRAILER 2007 ================================================ ================================================ YOU CAN DOWNLOAD THE DEMO HERE (that's what we are using now) CLICK HERE: SPORE CREATURE CREATOR DEMO ================================================ Spore is a game where you start as a cell creature evolving yourself to a sea creature and then to a land creature. You can create a creature to your liking with endless possibilities. If you have the time you can watch this short video to see how the creator works: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dME86oJM__Y...feature=related This game has a genious creature creator engine. It's so amazing you can almost make any creature. Anyone tried the creature creator out yet? Here are my creatures: Ninja Monkey creature: ![]() Master of hunting, Dino like creature: ![]() ![]() Cute versatile and social creature: ![]() ![]() War bug cow creature (made for war obviously): ![]() ![]() I also found many funny pics like people trying to create certain things like Pokemon. I've also seen huge d!cks made, it's funny to laugh at but problem is, the creatures you make and other people make are being put on the internet. Since the data you possess is only like a couple of kb worth of data, it's really easy to import eachothers creatures without any effort. So if your planet is being invaded by huge d!cks, then don't tell me I didn't warn you XD This post has been edited by Mangafan2: Jun 16 2008, 07:54 PM |

No but the demo of the creature creator is.
The full creature creator soon to be released. You have to pay $10 for it though. If you wait longer you can get it for free. |

No =D let me explain.
It's a single player game. You start from a cell creature to a bigger land creature, and then you lead your creature to create a tribe. The tribe evolves to a city and then take over the planet. When that's done you conquer other planets. There are serveral points here being made: 1. Your creature 2. Your race 3. Your planet All this cost only like 5-20kb of data space. That data will be shared on the Spore server. Your Spore game will download other peoples data onto your computer. You won't play against those players but you will play against their data. So you play against the computer but with their creatures and their planet. There's also a Sporepedia where all the creatures will be stored with their information and can be downloaded. So basically, if this game sells like 5 million times. And per person there will be 3 creatures made. Means 15 million different creatures and maybe full grown planets. You'll be downloading a whole universe in no time =D |

Can you make something cute and fluffy or do they all turn out to look like deformed mutant lizards?
Edit: Also, how long does it take to see how your spore turn out? I don't wanna spend weeks only to find out my little monster turned out ugly. This post has been edited by cabbit: Jun 16 2008, 07:33 AM |

Very good points =)
1. Yes you can, but remember this was just the demo I used, there are a lot of attributes not availible. I just made these out of testing. I'm pretty sure you can put hair on your creature in the full version. Someone managed to make a simpel horse with the demo: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l2e_DPjeEdM 2. You can edit your spore in every fase up until the tribe phase. In cell phase the more you eat the more your creature evolves. Then you had up to a sea creature I think. And then the land phase. That's the end of making it. Your looks during the cell and sea phase do not influence the looks of the land phase. You can fully create your land creature out of nothing. So it's like the creature creator demo. Start out of nothing =) |

LOL Your animals are so... cute. I'm still yet to make a biped character. It'd look to human-like which would creep me out a bit.
![]() At the other side of it's twisty neck there's an eye for rear-view and also a really long horn. ![]() It has such dorky skill points but I like it. ![]() ![]() The premise was that it had to look like the huge flowers that surrounded its hypothetical habitat. ![]() No comment.
