although the Japanese derive 80% of their culture and way of life from China and we are basically the same race genetically speaking, I do believe there are many subtle differences that make chinese and japanese very different from each other.

Unlike chinese who trick each other and make blind promises to each other. If Chinese people could all stand united and sort away their petty differences, we could totally beat up Japan but that will take a long time simply because by nature, chinese have this self-loathing thing going on. It also has to do with that China has so many different mixes of people and its difficult to be united.

have you ever been to China? Sure, China will become a great superpower and will be powerful as a whole but the standard of living will never extend to ALL chinese.
