Malaysians and Filipinos, Are they related ? Options

is there any relation between malaysians and filipinos? does any1 know the history? jus inquiring... thanx

It might be from what I've read and heard that majority of Madagascar immigrants are from Indonesia and South East Asia and if some of the Malay population don't mix with other races.

It might be not cause it was over 2000 years that the original immigrants have already mixed with the Africans from the main land.

And it's already hard to define one's race when the original immigrants which are the Malays had mixed with other races.

So there is no way to tell what race they unless you look at their features.

There is a chance that you will able to recognise some of the characteristics of a
Malagasy that might be the same as the South East Asian malay.

Or it's been already a long time and somehow the immigrants had mixed alot that they created a new race.

In South East Asia there weren't alot of malays who mixed with other races. So they retain their original characteristics. And so do other races that live in South East Asia.

Since when have we heard of Malays in South East Asia having intermarriages over 2000 years ago?

They still retain their original characteristics till today.

Yeah they do look a little like indonesians. Are they still considered asian though?

This realy simple... Yes they do look like Indonesian, but NO they are not asian cause their country isn't in ASIA, or the Pacific rim. The term "Asian" isn't a race. If your country is the Philippines then you are asian. It's simple Geography
