Like I stated before somewhere else...I don't think it can be done this easily. Jiang definitely will still have some kind of control upon the government. Although "officially" he has stepped down and Hu is now the leader, Jiang has built up a strong base of diehard supporters who are still holding high offices in the government. Although HE is physically removed from the position, his influence will still continue to spread.
However, I hope that his lost presence will allow Hu to make some decisions on his own that will push China forward. |
