Nope, he is native (balinese), his full name: I Gusti Agung Kusuma Yudha Rai.
I Gusti Agung is like royal family in balinese society hard to believe they would like to intermarried with other ethnics. It is possible though but not their main stream behaviour.

Shandy Syarif? No, he's pure Sundanese. But I see a lotta Sundanese's eyes are more like Chinese's ones. I read that once upon a time when there was a kingdom in West Java, Sundanese ethnic asimilated with Chinese. Maybe one of Shandy's ancestor is a Chinese.

Andrei is none other than the grandson of famous poets: Sanoesi Pane and Arminj Pane. His great grandpa is Sultan Pangurabaan Pane, who ran the traditional music group “uning-uningan”, the founder of Surya News in Tapanuli-North Sumatra and wrote roman “Tolbok Haleon” as well. The great grandpa also ran a transportation company (what an old man!).

Andrei is actually a Product & Marketing Director at The Body Shop and apparel brand M2000 and PS. Two of his novels has already adapted for movies, which the scenarios were written by his mother!

he was graduated from social science and politics faculty from one of famous uni in southern jakarta. we saw him couples time when he visited his almamater.
