the vast majority of these "fil in ethnicity" women are mixed. cindy kurleto for instance is half philipino and half white. msot of these women probably have some spanish blood in them too. you'd be ahrd pressed to find a philipino model who is 100% pure philipino

Filipino is a nationality....which is composed of different ethnicities...what IS pure Filipino to you?

how about even before that like when the Chinese/Arab started trading and increasing their population and influence over there? How about even before that like when the Malay's started migrating there? or even before that? (IMG:http://www.asiafinest.com/forum/style_emoticons/default/sure.gif)

See my point is given the diverse nature of the interacting groups and cultures of Philippine archipelago, it is difficult to characterize the pre-colonial Philippines as having any uniform character. Philippines, whether you like it or not, its multi-cultural and same for its people. If it wasnt for the waves of immigrant right after the other it wouldn't be Philippines today and what you see is not Filipino at all. Same can be said to all South American countries...History makes us Filipinos.

The Aetas are believe to be the first arrivals yet they dont compose the majority of the population in the Philippines, they're a minority. They;re the aborigines of the Philippines...

I know that Cindy Kurleto is half white. But saying that all the women posted on here is eurasian is proposterous. Why don't you take your Eurasian Pride and shove it up your ###> (IMG:http://www.asiafinest.com/forum/style_emoticons/default/icon_twisted.gif)

Oh yeah Maui Taylor,Lucy Torres Gomez, and Anne Curtis are the only other half filipinas. The rest I consider filipina and that one Korean named Sandara Park.

Sarah Geronimo happens to be not mixed. (IMG:http://www.asiafinest.com/forum/style_emoticons/default/sure.gif)

read my post and rethink your stance.i said a vast majority, which doesb't mean ALL. and seeing as the spanish came to the phillipines and mixed with them it woudl be hard to find someone now who si 100% pure phil.

edit: and jsut because they say they are pure philipino doesn't mean they are. people lie. there family coudl have lied about it or jsut not known about there ancestors exact genetic makeup

edit #2: My eurasian pride doesn't show in this post, so i dunn owhat your talking about. all i said was that they are probably mixed because of history, if you need me to spell it out for you. I never even said i found any of these models attractive or that if they are eurasian that that is the reason for them.

You kind of lost me here. Let me guess if this is what you are trying to say. You generalize the way Chinese look as "East Asian". And therefore you generalize the way Filipinos look as...? Something I guess but I am not sure as what that may be. (IMG:http://www.asiafinest.com/forum/style_emoticons/default/dntknw.gif)

in a way. I just mean this topic could very well be "Hot Chinese Girls Clan" and if i posted up a picture of some white model and said she was from china, hence beign chinese, that she wouldn't really be considered chinese to ppl because shes not East Asian genetically. similarly, thes ephilipino models may very well have spanish blood in them because of history. All i was saying is that they probably weren't "pure" philipino.

Well technically there was no "Philippines" before the Spanish came. The idea of a “Filipino” didn’t even really materialize until near the end of Spanish colonization in 1898. I would assume that all people born in the country before then, with Spanish blood, Chinese blood or what have you, is what you would call a Filipino.

With most people from most countries if you trace their lineage far enough most likely one of their ancestors if not all has migrated from one part of the globe or another. For most Filipinos the migration of their ancestors might have been just a little more recent. I assure you that most of these girls here are “Pure Filipino” and there is no misrepresentation in the title of this thread.

Exactly, non-Filipinos have a hard time understanding yet they enforce such ridiculous statements when explained to them...

Isn't she some sort of comedian. I find her to be annoying sometimes.
