Kota Seludong? That's quite new for me though... We learn something about Jose Rizal here but never heard about your ancient kingdoms there. Maybe we should add something about the Philippines after this in SEAn history lessons.

I heard that there are few Malay tribes in Lower Myanmar too. They are called as Pashu regardless whether they are Buddhist or Muslim. I dunno what Pashu means in Burmese, but I hate the term because it means Creature (Animal) in Sanskrit.

Looks more accurate than the accepted etymology of May-nilad or 'there is a nilad plant'.
Just like its mother, Brunei Darrusalam came from Hindu and Arab words which means City of Peace(Darussalam) of the people of Varuna(Baruna-i). Varuna is a Hindu God.

it's funny the "manila" in wikipedia is available in almost 100 languages, & only the Melayu & Arabic mentioned "Fi Amanillah".

i think they are trying to hide our muslim past because it will be so ironic if the capital of one of the largest Catholic country in the world Manila – Amānillāh (امان الله) has a meaning of "Peace under the protection of Allah"

True, Manila was under the control of Muslim datus before Spain came, but it doesn't mean the entire population were muslim. The National Historical Research of the Philippines has a work detailing the history of Manila before the Spaniards and the majority of it's inhabitants, then called Maynilad, were a mix of animists and Buddhists.
