(IMG:http://img.asiantown.net/members/37448/unity.jpg) hmoob tsis hlub hmoob leej twg yuav hlub tsis poob luag, tsis noj luag tug, tsis txhawj luag tug .... yu yog hmoob, yuav tsum coj li hmoob peb tsis yog mab yog suav, peb yog hmoob Our history has shown the long unity and struggles of our people. At school, Hmong people usually prefer hanging out with Hmong people. Hmong people also prefer dating Hmong. Hmong people love going to Hmong events and barely attend other cultural events. Seems to me like we\'re more united then other ethnic groups... we may be different in clans and groups, but in the end... the elders will say, \"PEB YOG IB HAIV NEEG HMOOB...\" we may be small in population, but we thrive to flourished and are thriving. Look at French Guiana, Australia, United States... there are Hmong now in Canada and etc.... There are some who ruin and seek to destroy the Hmong culture; however, there are many of those whom constantly advocate for the bond and unity of our people. We Hmong barely try to associate with others... which is a good thing... we don\'t see ourselves as inferior or superior... we Hmong are very independence and well off from other groups... we don\'t seek sympathy and we don\'t look up to others... we look to help our Hmong.... like the saying goes, hmoob tsis hlub hmoob leej twg yuav hlub hmoob.... I think it\'s the most powerful saying that many Hmong hold to their heart... Look at our hundred new years around the nations, to me.. I\'m proud of it because it shows that our Hmong committees and fellow Hmong are united by holding these events to reinforce our cultural and ethnic identities. You don\'t see any other cultures that express and show pride of their heritage more than us in the states. I\'ve been to so many cultural events and I have to tell you, Hmong events are indeed the best. From July 4th, to August, September, October, November and Decembers... Hmong communities around the nation celebrate their own cultural festivals through the hard work of many Hmong organizations. We have fought hard for justice and freedom, as well as equality.. this is recognized by the NAACP in my community.. I\'m so proud that the NAACP supported the Hmong in their cause. Unity? That's only a dream which is why Hmong people will continue to be mistreated like always. "You live under their rules, you're marginalized..."
