Silly and underdeveloped in which sense?

You mean taking bullet train back home is more developed than taking my slow motion locomotive?

You know how many jobs will be gone if we have bullet trains to replace these good old trains in Thailand?

Your people are shortsighed and only care for yourself. icon_smile.gif

Your people's life is too fast and want everything that go faster and faster and you lose all the chance to see many good things along the railway because you go too fast!

embarassedlaugh.gif

Oh, I haven't shown you my Tuk Tuk yet.

When I arrive the train station in my home town, I always take these Tuk Tuk back home.

It's a unique tuk tuk, and it can be found only in my hometown.

Is it underdeveloped for you too?

embarassedlaugh.gif

You said as if the bullet train is a daydreaming for Thai people!
Too much obsessed to Abhisit's policy of self-efficiency embarassedlaugh.gif

Ok, if you don't wanna buy the high-end technology, then why don't you buy current technology like this...

Why do you still enjoy this 30-year-ago technology like...

I think you know what I mean cuz you live in south, you can compare Malaysian train and Thailand's embarassedlaugh.gif

Buddhalove, Bangkokians and Singaporean are the same kind of people.
Most of them are Jek. embarassedlaugh.gif
And I don't think Bangkokian people are pooer than Singaporeans.
You know what the hold up for Thailand?
Thailand has too many stupid people like you in this country, while the other country don't.
That's the hold up. embarassedlaugh.gif
Oh, and I hope this "living in peace" and "nevee been colonized" not your excuse for why Laos is still a backcountry like it is now, right?
embarassedlaugh.gif

The hold up are those Sakdeena in bangkok, who has life time role. You have to open your brain up little bit, bangkok is just part of Thailand. Your monkeys see Bangkock as the country instead of Thailand. Thailand is too big for your small brain to recognize and develop, so you blame on the rural poor, who has been oppress for generations. Jek only make up 14% of the total population and mix thai chinese are spreading across the kingdom. Working class make up large number of the population even though they're unregistered residents. You're statement is little greater than 7 years old kid and full of hatreds.

Wake up monkeys, open your eyes and take a look at US, Korea, Malaysian and Singapore. Tell Abhasit to stop learning $hit from the Burmese military junta that like to shoot and kill protesters. Not good for his brain. How hard is that too figure it out. At least your dark monkey can do is not supporting that tyrant. Abhasit get out. beerchug.gif

Don't you know how to read? Why don't you ask your boyfriend Sawan somehow that loser believes that Bangkokians and Singaporean are the same kind of people. Chiamay, Khonkearn, Issan, Phuket might look advance but majority of people in those regions are still lacking behind Bangkokians in term of income and infrastructures. Many areas don't even have electricity, running water and suitable school. Don't tell me you believe the gab between rich and poor is not wider than communist Vietnam. You need help and out of touch, give me a favor check yourself in the mental clinic?

This is hilarious after 200 years, this is 2010 and finally one monkey is waking up from his long nap, after red shirts protesters screaming on his sleeping brain that people have the right to vote for their candidates and not from the PAD approval. PAD protesting was somewhere peaceful after taking down two airports and government house. Red Shirts protester was somewhere peaceful, until thug Abhasit and armed forces decided to crush protesters on April 10,2010, where 25 people killed then at Rasapasong, where the total 88 lives were lost and those monkeys claim that they follow international standards. Well they were following Burmese military junta standards for sure. Blame Abhasit government for being impatient and that monkey loves to preach, but has a hard time follow his own preaching. Abhasit get out. beerchug.gif

This is still to short for the growing number of population of Bangkok. The government should develop other cities like Chiang Mai, Koart or Khon Kaen insead to prevent people flocking to Bangkok who ask for a bigger public mass transit system. It would help to low the heavy traffic in Bangkok. It is the best for all people.

Ok, if you don't wanna buy the high-end technology, then why don't you buy current technology like this...

Why do you still enjoy this 30-year-ago technology like...

Because not everyone in Bannok can afford to ride that expensive train.

What you think is a perspective from a city man; you can afford such train but a bannok like me don't.

It cost a Bannok 500 THB to travel to Bangkok by this 30-year-ago technology.

It cost them 2,000 THB to travel by plane.

It would cost them at least 1,500 THB to travel by the hi-speed train you want.

You will create more "relatively" poor people only by having hi-speed train like that to replace the old one.

And that is not what a Bannok like me want.

I just want to travel back and forth between my hometown and Bangkok with the lowest cost transportation.

I don't want to take that super fast train.

What is it good for me?

I am just a bannok; it takes me 10 hourse to reach Bangkok and that's fine for me for 500THB.

Reaching Bangkok 4 hours earlier would not do me any good.

If I don't have a house in Bangkok, I would have to stay one more night in the expensive hotel in Bangkok if train arrive 4 hours earlier.

Arriving Bangkok early in the morning is perfect for me.

That's called sufficient economy.

We don't have hi-speed train run around the country but we don't have high debt like what EU and America is facing now.

We are in a much better shape than them. Why we have to follow them?

Now, you tell me why would a bannok like want a faster train?
To make me feel poorer?

Pingling, do you think you are the only one who know that?

There are tons of pandit in Thailand who are much smarter than you. And they knew the theory you mentioned since you are not born yet.

I will tell you my story.

I was born in a poor family, a poor Jek bannok family actually.

My family didn't have even a piece of land like most poor in Isaan have today.

My dad has 15 brothers/sisters and they were all poor because my grandparent just migrated from mainland.

I remember when I was young, my parents had to work from 5am to 10pm everyday, no holiday, just to survive

And both of them are still working 5am to 10pm today.

My dad told me like most Jek in Thailand would do that he had nothing for me except education.

No matter how poor they are, these Jeks try to provide their kids with the best education they can provide.

My parents worked from 5am to 10pm just to send me and my brothers/sisters to the best school in town.

They started from nothing, not even a piece of land and now they own so many lands.

You know what the different between my dads and the poor in Isaan?

The different is my dad didn't wait for the government because he knew that all government corrupted.

He never asked for a hi-speed train or any super highway to take him to Bangkok.

He never asked for government fund to help when our home in bannok was on fire.

He never asked for any help from government when there was a big flood in the south and many businesses are in trouble.

He had to work hard and provide good education for their kids.

Despite our poverty, I went to the best school in Trang and in Bangkok.

I started from zero in Bangkok, no advantage did I get from any government.

And now I have my own kid. I taught him that every government is corrupted so don't wait for them

I have my kid go to the best school I can afford. I taught him to work hard like me and my dad.

And I don't think he is going to wait for Abhisit or Thaksin's government.

Do me, my son and my dad have extra hands that the poor in Isaan don't have?

No, we have 2 hands with 10 fingers the same with them.

Do we have extra brain? No.

Do we have any extra connection with people in the government? No.

The different is that I was taught not to be a lazy man and I teach this to my son.

He will be in a good shape in the future because he doesn't have to depend on any govt.

Why don't you go telling those poor people to work harder, stop drinking, stop gambling and start working harder on their land instead of waiting for government?

I never seen them come to Bangkok to protest for a new university in their hometown. icon_smile.gif

Coming from the south myself, I can say the thing that southerners value the most, no matter rich or poor, is their children's education. They will do anything to send their children to college. The thing that makes them proud is not a new cell phone or a new motorcycle or a modern new house but a picture of their children on graduation day, hanging on the wall. That's why most southerners do not live in poverty. They believe in education, hard working and do not believe in short cut.

During the Thaksin's administration, national budget allocated to the southern provinces are among the lowest. Did they complain, NO. Because they will not sit around and wait for the cash to come to their door. That is the differences. Does infrastructure and school in the south far better than those in E-san, I would say no. Does southern people's value and attitude different than those of E-san people , I would say yes. And that is why Thaksin and his puppet's party will never be successful in deceiving people in the south.
