All five South American teams made the 'Round of 16'. Apart from Chile, all other South American teams won their groups:
- Uruguay won Group A; - Argentina won Group B; - Paraguay won Group F; - Brazil won Group G; This Brazilian soccer commentator, said that for the first time ever, South America managed to place more teams in the Quarter-finals than Europe. The most Europe can get is only 3 teams (The Netherlands, Germany and Spain/Portugal) among the Final Eight:  That's quite a feat, considering Europe's huge upstart: FIRST ROUND: Europe: 13 teams South America: 5 teams ROUND OF 16: Europe: 6 teams South America: 5 teams 1/4-Finals ('Final Eight'): Europe: 3 teams:  -  + Spain/PortugalSouth America: 4 teams:  -  -  -  South American soccer is on the rise. South America >> Europe. Shaliq smells another all-South American Final. |

Come on guys! Spain has already taken away the WC trophy. The match wasn’t that interesting. Now the latest football news or soccer update reveals that Spain is gonna play for Portugal in November, if I m nt wrong.
