I don't think there is anything wrong with being short.
It's more important with how you carry yourself and how you treat others. There is nothing wrong with being short. Don't let society social conditioning get to you. I was at the Madison Capital today protesting against union busting and notice how people cared more about other things. But people vary in who they are into. Its up to you to make what is special and unique about you. Competence is important too. |

Being short makes me look fatter than I am.
It can be annoying to find clothes because my body (as in my shoulder width, torso and head) is built to be taller but my legs are too short so I need to buy pants that fit me but then get them cut. I live in Canada so they put a very big emphasis on height ..I find that Asians are either short or tall. Too bad I'm at the short end of the spectrum. Anyways, I wish I were taller but it's not like its my only priority. Right now I'm trying to get back to #1 in Physics (I fell to #2) and maintains my other grades above 90. Just wear black clothes and taller shoes :p And you know what, I'm slowly gaining height half inches at a time. I was 5.5 1\2 last year. Then like 8 months later I was 5'6. Then like 6 months later I was 5'6 1\2. Right now I'm getting close to 5'7. C'mon! Just one or two more inches body! On a side note, everyone is aware that Chinese people are stereotypically short, right? Well, in Canada, about half of the Chinese immigrants are freakishly tall (for Asians, stereotypically). Like a lot of Chinese guys are like 5'8-10 and then Chinese girls at 5'5/6 |

Mofo, I wish I was 5'7. My parents are taller than me. -_-
The only thing wrong with being short is 1) you can't reach as high and 2) it takes more effort to look authoritative. Unless you're a gangster dwarf with freakishly long arms. |

Yea I believe in the "how you carry yourself" method. Just have the confidence in what you want to do and what you want to see happen. Short people usually dwell on their deficiency rather than their capabilities. |

Usually guys are judged more by his looks, strength, and athletic ability.
Short attractive guys who can beat people up usually dont dwell on things. Being tall, ugly and weak, sucks because you clearly are ugly, and even if you tried to act tough, you would still get beat up. |

short and tall depends on the people around you...im 5'9-5'10. which is ok in most places. i dont feel like a midget at the mall or something. however, i do around my own family because my dads 6', my cousins (2 bros) 6'1 and 6'2, my sisters serious bf is 6'.
so yeah, it depends who you are around. im talking about with other guys of course. obviously the chances of a woman being taller than me is far less likely. Being short makes me look fatter than I am. Being short or tall doesn't matter.
What matters is whether or not you are ugly and how much money you have because Asian girls are so freakin shallow nowadays. >_> |

Short guys are the ideal sized workers for my company.
Not all "confined space" work is in small spaces, as some large silos are listed in the legislation, but being small is an advantage for job applicants in my line of work. |

What's the definition of being short?
Is it anything under 5'6 is short. 5'7 - 6'1 average range. 6'2 and up is considered tall. ? |

I was still 4'11" when I graduated from college. I found a few benefits to being so much shorter than everyone else - I could duck under elbows and speed through crowds. I also didn't stand out in the lecture halls. But I was very happy to finally reach an even 5 feet.
A few inches taller now, I still prefer short men. There is something nice about being close to eye level. This post has been edited by Taln: Mar 17 2011, 01:53 PM |

I'm short, 5'6 but most asian girls are still either my height or shorter so I'm somewhat content. Its just annoying when short 5'2" asian girls only go out with guys that are like 5'9" or more. I'm freakin 4" taller than you, should be good enough. Ughhhh

Start stretching!
I'm 5 feet 8. Almost 9 inches. I have 5 more years to go before I stop growing. This post has been edited by Khmerbodianz: Mar 20 2011, 05:13 PM |
